Stressed corms were slow to start but Florida weather and myco hit took care of that. Will go in the ground soon.

All of us in my rare fruit tree club are dreading the cold front that may still do us in. So far so good. Last 2 winters did a lot of damage.

Best luck with the new plants. These are one dream for me here in Brazil, but it might be difficulty because of the Brazilian import restrictions for banana plants and rhizomes, seeds might be okay. But I sent seeds from Helenīs Hybrid to my Brazilian friend. I hope the F2 generation will show some Chinichampa plants.

Best wishes

Ah yes, Chinichampa has sweet fruits, but with seeds! Anyone tried germinate seeds from Chinichampa? Chinichampa is diploid, might set seeds, this was no problem to get one cross with Musa sikkimensis, the hybrid has also survived some winters in Germany under basjoo winter protection.

If you do harvest seeded fruits from Chinichampa, please think of me and save the seeds and send them to my Brazilian friend Helton to Brazil. I will send you later one PN with address of Helton to send seeds from Chinichampa.

Best wishes
