How are things in your area? I saw pics of the snow in Rome and heard people abandoning their cars there (and The Coliseum was closed to tourists and the Spanish Steps were covered in snow!).

I can relate though. Last winter we had so much snow here that I couldnt leave my house for 4 days because the roads werent plowed and the snow was too deep to even try to drive in. The city had no idea how to handle that much snow. It was the most snow I have ever seen in my life and it was BY FAR the most snow ever recorded in my town (30 inches). I'm used to shoveling snow, but I actually had no idea how to shovel that much snow (I shoveled the top layer of snow first and then the bottom layer of snow next).

This winter has the complete opposite! We really havent had any snow here (just a light coating that melted away quickly) and we have had lots of mild days. Spring is on its way but not quite here yet.

I hope things get better for Europe soon. I know that the fatailities are rising and its been pretty serious especially away from the Mediterranean Sea where it has gotten below -30F in parts of Northern Europe. But spring will be there soon. Just a few more weeks before it is warm again and you can use the broom for cleaning leaves in your yard and not for clearing snow from your walkway!

So fare my area is doing good, we have no snow and temps are above feeze point but every place arround is covered by ice and snow. Many costal towns up North have temps belowe -4,-5C, streets are blocked, ppl without electicity and no food supply, total disaster.
More than 250 dead ppl across the Europe....

After two harsh winters we now broke the low for February and there is more to come. The previous record low was from 1956, -22C or -8F.
The good thing is, we are preparing for the "Elfsteden tocht". 2 million
spectators are expected along the route and millions will watch it on TV.

The weather here has been unusually nice for michigan. If I go back to mexico next month spring will be here sooner. We have not really had any large snowfall here. Very strange winter. Poor Godzilla (snowblower) is hungry lol. Hope anyone having bad weather stays safe and it disappears quickly.

The temps here are fairly decent, 80f high, 50f low. All of the bananas have new leaves and the veggie plants from last year are still producing some fruit. We lost some leaves on the bananas but the stems have come back and hopefully we will enjoy a harvest this fall. The weather has warmed a bit and our zone has been upgraded so the temps may reveal some very good results this fall. Hope all get to enjoy a good harvest and some very good meals and snacks. Good luck and thanks.
