I absolutely LOVE bananas.org and how it's set up and organized. I've gotten so much useful info here and really appreciate it. I would like to find a site like it for growing palm trees...more specifically, cold hardy palms. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Tony, that link pointed me to some funny site that required ad blocking be disabled, etc. I can tell from the code in your link that you were talking about PalmTalk (http://www.palmtalk.org/forum/)

This isn't loading for me right now but is another place to try: Northwest Palms and Subtropicals (http://www.cloudforest.com/cafe/palms/)

There's this one: PalmTalk (http://www.palmtalk.org/forum/)

and this one: Palmpedia - Palm Trees, Crotons, Ti Plants, Tropical Gardening (http://www.palmpedia.net/forum/)

The palm and Cycad Societies of Australia (PACSOA) has an excellent website, with ID pages for many species. I don't know how they are on hardy palms, though. There is always the International Palm Society. Look for chapter web pages in your hardiness zone. There may be some.

Hello, Here is another one. I learned a lot here, I have 2 Windmills and a European Fan Palm, and a Stone Gate Palm (Trachycarpus princeps) I am putting in the ground this spring.

Palms and Cycads Forum - GardenWeb (http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/palms/)

not sure if I did that right.
