A prayer for you:

Father of goodness and love, hear my prayers for Greg who is unwell with cancer. Amid sickness and physical suffering may he find consolation in your healing presence. Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits. May Greg find lasting health and deliverance. I ask this through the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Tray - it is because there is far more $$ to be made in the treatment than the cure. Once you are cured, you don't need 'big-pharma' any more, and they don't make $$. You can bet though, that if any of the 'big pharma' executives contracted cancer, they'd be the first in line for that DCA stuff.

My Dr was amazed I was walking. I think I freak him out he is always amazed at the progress ! Thanks for all the prayers. My chemo is the same no changes except I do it every four weeks unsted of five now. Will not no any thing about the cancer in the brain untill next month. Greg- My computer was done down again since 12/28, so I missed seeing this thread until now. I am so glad for the positive news you have been getting lately, and am heartened by your spirit as shown in your quickly moving rehab. As you know, I was told I had a very deadly form of cancer when I was 23, but here I am at 64 just as cantankerous as always, so we know that you can do it. My prayers for you haven't stopped, and will continue. I agree, I can't wait for spring either! Take care, my friend.

Greg,

Your awesome. I am so glad your recovering, even slowly, take your time.

Lord, hear our heartfelt prayer for the healing of our Christian brother.
We pray for your mercy, Your compassion, Your grace and Your love,
in making him whole and well again.
Make the work of those treating and helping him full of Your perfection,
and grant him a quick and complete recovery.
Lead and guide those around him to provide what he needs: encouragement,
assistance and support.
Lord, we pray that you will wrap Your loving arms around him, giving him comfort, strength and peace, drawing him ever closer to You, as you lead him through this trying time.

In Jesus’ name we pray; Amen.

In an old civil war movie there was a very injured soldier. The nurse convinced him that it was his battle in order to survive. She told him that the human body can overcome anything if the brain will work with it. One survives because one wants to.

Greg- a totally understandable and common reaction to the fact that you have a serious illness. However, there are indeed many folks in your life who care (just from looking at your FB pages) as well as here. An invisible network if you will. And remember, my offer stands if you want to contact me, just send me a PM or FB message. Also, be sure and keep your oncologist and primary practitioner aware of these feelings, as there are indeed some things that can be done to help.

It is normal for people to have depression with prolonged illness. In pharmacy school I did rotations in geriatrics and pediatrics. Both of these rotations they talked about depression that went along with illness because they wanted healthcare workers to be aware of the problems that go along with prolonged illness. Be careful of the drinking because it is a depressant. Take care and you are in my thoughts,
