It will be 5 full days, this afternoon, that I have been unable to upload pictures, despite trying many times.

I have asked for help from the moderator twice and so far received neither help not reply.

What else can I do?

Many others are having the same problem.

There are lot's of possibilities, including: (1) an automatic update to your browser changed some settings, (2) an auto-update to your security software changed some settings, (3) your internet service provider has new restrictions on file transfers, (4) you have reached some unknown limit for photo storage on the banana.org server, (5) there is an unknown error on bananas.org server settings that is randomly affecting some users.

I sympathize with your frustration. Personally, I'm not having trouble uploading images:

Its now a drawn out process,

Uploads to gallery then you click the Image, then copy the address in the address bar and then you post the Image via the Image Icon in the posting message box.

Hmm... I'm uploading to gallery, clicking on image, then copying the text in "Code For Bulletin Boards", then pasting that in a message.

I believe its the "uploading" part that some people are having trouble with. My browser is Google Chrome.

My thanks to everybody for their advice. It led me to figure out, that the problem was on my end, and
possibly with my browser. So I tried to upload the pictures with Internet Explorer instead with Firefox,
which I had been using all along. It worked and they are now "proudly" displayed here:

Now I have to figure out, what changed in my Firefox.

Again, thanks to all!

Since I preferred Firefox, I downloaded it again and…

Voila:

http://www.bananas.org/gallery/watermark.php?file=47368 (http://www.bananas.org/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=47368&ppuser=7269)

It let me upload again without any problem.

It took me six days to figure out the problem and about 5 minutes to fix.

I hope, that it will help others with their uploading problems

Good luck!
Olaf

Got to say this ! Dont like saying it ! But it so true now. Firefox seems to have dropped the ball here lately.. I been more and more on Chrome.. I been a loyal FF dude from the first copy/issue.. But the facts are the facts... Also I notice FF is crashing ... The upload process here is no more difficult than on other boards or forms. It just a matter of getting use to it . It helps to read the instruction too :) But then if the Browser is letting you down. That is a level of confidence that just seems to sneak up on you .. Ya just never expect the browser to fail you...

If you read the first line of my previous post you will see, that all I had to do is download Firefox again and all was
hunky dory. And I have also no problem with Firefox crashing :)

Olaf,

Glad you got it working!

Is there any particular reason you don't like Google Chrome (https://www.google.com/chrome/) ?

Thanks, Richard,

I guess I have never been exposed to Google Chrome, and have always been happy with Firefox.
It appears to be more secure than Internet Explorer. :)
