In my locale, Sweet Limes (http://www.ars-grin.gov/cgi-bin/npgs/html/taxon.pl?312652) are ripe right now. Here's a bowl full from the harvest last week. I like these for culinary use much more than the standard sour lime (http://www.ars-grin.gov/cgi-bin/npgs/html/taxon.pl?10683).

Are they sweet? I tried one a couple years ago, and it was indeed sweet, no trace of sour at all, kinda weird.

Are they what the locales call limons or lime-ons, in Mexico?

Basically its a lime that is not tart. Great for a whole assortment of culinary adventures.
