hello all,
Is anyone out there growing Musa cavendishii and if so do you have
any good advise or tips on growing them as this is my first nana plant. i have a few concerns since i have brought the plant indoors for the winter it was growing very well but i had to move the plant from in front of the window while we had the Christmas tree up and it started to loose its leaves quicker than normal i have now moved it back to the window but it has only got three of its leaves left and one on its way out. I also have noticed that my trunk is all brown but all the photos i have see the nana trunks are mainly green am i keeping it too wet

Hello, sounds to me like your over-watering your banana. Also sounds to me like you have a Musa cavendish. I would cut back on the watering during the winter months. Give it as much light as you can also.

As i bought my banana plant from www.jungleseeds.com Musa cavendishii is the name on the bill. I forgot to mention the pups there were 5 pups but 4 went brown but i now have new growth on all five this must be a good sign
