Hi All, this is my first post and I hope someone can help!
I started growing my banana babies early spring indoors(they arrived in 3" pots and have grown qute well). As they grew too large for my window and the weather got warmer I transferred them to larger pots and moved them outside to my front porch where they have lived happily up until now. LAST NIGHT THE TEMPS DROPPED TO 47 DEGREES-total shocker. It is supposed to warm back up to the 70s tomorrow but I know it wont be like this for long. If I bring them indoors how do I care for them without direct sunlight? I suppose they are too young to overwinter aren't they?
They grew so well this summer, I don't want them to die (there were three but the basjoo died when I transplanted it :-(
So I have 2 beautiful Chiquita Gran Nain Banana Babies and I want dearly to save them from this PA winter!! PLEASE HELP
The pics are from July, they've started to yellow(some of the leaves at the bottom, I'll send pics later)

On an optimistic note, move to Key West and south.

But more realistically, how tall is your plant and what kind of a building do you have to move it into?

Hello PA from PA, I have a large DC that is quite old the plant is wintered near a Southern window, which has worked well for years, I now reside away from the farm and only have Northwest lighting. I recently took the grow from seed route, so I definably don't want to loose all my effort, I will be using indoor lights this season. There are a lot of good posts out there on lighting and as one prior suggestion, links to overwintering.
I found it helpful to place a plant dolly under large plants and now that the party buckets with handle are readily available it making things even easier for the winter moves.
Good luck and keep us posted with pictures and so forth, it's seems a lot of northerners' have adapted to tropical s and every bit off information helps build this great community.
