So, all of a sudden and out of the blue, it's going to, go down to 40 degrees tonight!
If I wasn't so busy I might have had a little warning
Here I am Delving through every link I saved in the past year and a half that had to do with fall
temps, you know, when you should bring in this one and when that one will definitely not make if it gets that cold.
and guess what, in the little time I have to do much about it, I'm sitting at the computer looking for the link to that thread and cannot find it.
Oh well I guess I know the basjoos, the dc's, the sdc's and the Chinese yellow {musella lasiocarpa}will be fine, The only one I am really worried about is the sumatrana x gran nain and especially it's little 3" pup.
I'm going for the visquine (plastic) now and I guess I will cover at least the gran nain and pup.
What are some tips for that occasional cold night?
Cold weather sucks!!!

They might not be happy but they should come out ok without protection. Depending on how tall they are you can throw an old blanket or tarp over them. Or if you just happen to have to have a straw bale laying around, you can mound up the straw over the pup.

I got lucky with a large plastic rain barrel that was not put in use yet. Fit perfect on the small gran nain and pup. I guess I don't have to worry about 40 degrees and nothing as cold in the forcast.
