I have a Cavendish* pup that has been removed from parent about a week ago and now is starting to turn yellow, is this just nature taking it course due to stress or could it be something else? Should I trim all but 2 leaves to help direct growing to healthier parts of plant? I know this is done often when transplanting. Was it removed at to young of a state?
* Correct me if I am wrong about species, pictures of mother plant below.

Some other factors, I have had the mother plant for over 20 yrs, removed plenty of pups to give away but never kept any for moi. Unfortunately my beauty is kept at a different location than my current residence, so pop removed the pup for me and I have no idea of what his surgical techniques were. Knowing him chainsaw and hatchet!

To the pictures;

I would not have removed one that small to transplant. How much corm did he get?

Have no idea, I have always been the one to remove the pups and pop was reluctant to do it, but a few day after asking him to do so he showed up at my house with it already potted.

It looks fine, just give it some time to recover.

I think so as well. Specially if the soil mixture is different as well it takes some time to recover. Also will need more feeding than the mother plant.

Do you have any current pictures of the pup? How is it doing?

If my eyes are correct, it looks like the soil is just a little on the damp side. Judging from the color of it.
It will not need more feeding than the mother plant, don't fertilize it yet, or if you do fertilize it with a water soluble next time it needs water, then use it at about 1/4 strength to what it says on the directions so it gets rooted in. If it's in a lot of sun, put it in the shade for a week or so. And if it's getting cold there at night like it is here (below 50) since it's so tiny, carry it in the house overnight.

Tommyg , I don't have any current pictures, I would be embarrassed to post if I did, think it's about shot, been so long taking for granted what a well established plant needs the basics have been forgotten, that being said I did the opposite of everything Sandy0225 suggested except diluting fert.
The soil was saturated and in fear that it was in some type on moisture control soil I changed the soil for a organic mix (generic store bagged). and stopped watering,
It has done nothing but loose leaves and now I am left with a slowly browning and deteriorating cigar leaf, was thinking about just cutting at half p-stem and see what happens. I really did this one in!
Any thoughts?

Add a lot of perlite and give it some good water. Put near sunlight and water slightly ever other day.
Cut off any loose pstem. Might still be ok, bad move changing the soil, it is prob in shock.
Give it a couple days. Push perlite in soil, dont remove plant.
