I'm new to the forum, and relatively new to growing bananas, though I've been interested in vegetable gardening and subtropical fruit growing for a number of years. I've seen a few other users from the Inland Empire area here in Southern California, and I'm hoping to gain some insight on what banana varieties and growing methods are proven for fruit production here in our area. Thanks!
Welcome from MA, lot's of great folks here with volumes of valuable info.

Welcome from sunny Florida. I guess all of the members garden other than banana also. We love passiflora and elephant ears. Here's our first bloom off of a transplant we snatched from the roadside.

Welcome to the forum! Cali is a great place for bananas and tropical fruit in general! You should have no problem getting some to fruit and they look beautiful and tropical too! You might also want to try papayas, mangos, etc if you dont get frosts often (My papaya was a foot tall when I bought it in May and now its already flowering, but unfortunately here, I doubt the fruit will ripen in time if its even a female (males dont fruit).
But definitely lots of tropical fruit opportunities by you! I hope you learn a lot here!
