Hi all. I spotted this specimen few weeks ago. Two stems are connected the bottom and have couple of mutual leaves before the split. Is this a freak or just a side-effect of tissue-culturing? Pups look normal (unfortunately)...
What variety is this? Superdwarf Cavendish is my undereducated but likely guess.

It could be the 'Double Cavendish', aka 'Mahoe' (although incorrectly). Sometimes they do the split earlier on before they flower. I have also seen where they produced twin pseudo stems as in your photo, and then each shoot produced a double bunch.
