What are the MUST see things?

I only have a limited time and have been looking at so much fun stuff to do. The Pinball Hall of Fame is on my top list as well as the Damn. Anyone got some inside tips on food, shows, ect?

We are going late august. Not sure what you like to eat so I'll give you our favorites.
Blue cheese chips at Wolfgang pucks in MGM
Happy hour. $1 oysters, cheap lobster and calimari and$3 stellas @ sea blue MGM
Banana leaf wrapped pork in spices and the tableside guacamole service @ Diego. MGM
Good steak @ nyny
Excellent beef carpacio and red wine at delmonico @ venetian.
Google " Raku" for world class Japanese fare-- with off the strip prices

Don't miss belagio fountain show, walking around the Aria, or the freemont st light show.

Since you are from the east coast, if you go to a show be sure to go to the early shows(unless you are a night owl).
which are more in line with our east coast schedule.

Awesome write up! Thank you so much I will def try to eat @ sea blue now. and I will see if we can do to Raku, I recently found out I like Sushi and love to pig out on it.

Belagio also has a Chocolate water fall somewhere inside, that is defiantly on our MUST do list. For shows I HAVE to see Pen and Teller.

Where will you be staying when you travel? We booked at Circus Circus, then after we booked I seen Circus Circus is all the way on old strip. Should have paid the extra $20 for Luxor.

We stay at the MGM in the WEST WING boutique hotel part.
Easy access to the strip and a great convenience store out the side door.

BTW...here are some YELP reviews of Raku:
Raku - Chinatown - Las Vegas, NV (http://www.yelp.com/biz/raku-las-vegas)

Shhh...don't tell anybody...

Thank you, Raku was top quality food how ever I didn't know what ANYTHING on the menu was. It was a great new dinning experience for us. We got Pork Cheek, Sea Urchin and seaweed soup, Coby beef with Garlic, and Rice ball soup.

We did not make any reservations and after we showed up I looked up the reviews and everyone was saying with no reservation you will not get to eat there but I guess we got lucky again and we were seated within 5 min. I did not expect it to be so small but that clearly did not provide any negative experience.
At one point we thought the power went out, then they came out singing. It was someones bday and the shut off all the lights and kitchen stove and exhaust hoods making it dark and quite. Very Very nice, also there is a little bottle of oil on the table with some peppers floating in it. Surprise it hotter than wasabi.
