Hi Jarred,

I noticed that you have a rajapuri that looks like its variegated? Is this common to have the red marbled look on the leaves because the ones I compared to other user's gallery doesn't seem to be similar to your plant.

I'm thinking it isn't a Raja Puri.

my dw. orinoco has the same marbling affect, although all the leaves it put up since moving inside for winter have almost no marbling.

Yes that plant was mis-labeled when I got it. It was my first attempt at RajaPuri, and I did not know what they looked like at the time.
I have since gotten real ones elsewhere!
I thought I changed the label on that plant in my gallery once I got a positive "not rajapuri" ID on it!
I will go into my gallery and fix it now.

OK I just fixed all the photos in that series of shots.
One of the photos, you can see that tag that reads rajapuri if you click the image to make it the BIG version. It really sucks when plants are mislabeled.. it starts a snowball effect of misinformation. Sorry for the confusion!

Speaking of Rajapuri, I figured I would update this thread as well.
Here's a link for all the Rajapuri growers!
Please add any and all info about the Rajapuri to this wiki page:
http://www.bananas.org/wiki/Musa_'Rajapuri' (http://www.bananas.org/wiki/Musa_%27Rajapuri%27)
Thanks in advance as we try to get more info into the wiki... :)

Your plant looks like my Musa African Rhino Horn! I think you have got the wrong plant.

Greetings

Hi Pani, yes! The pictured plant is not a rajapuri as we have found out...
Thank you for the lead on what it could be, though.
