Sure about that land sunfish..HAHHAAHA

That looks a very nice Cycad your creating.

There is one other that has a weeping form but its rather elusive. If you find any seed on a site let me know please. I do not know the name, only the form.

Its a very bright green much like your Zamia.

Did you read the story about the lonliest Cycad in the world.?

That's very interesting. There are a lot of Cycad nurseries here in Southern CA. Some of the more rare Cycads go for big money, and lately there has been thefts of Cycads from nurseries and private collectors

I had 4 cycads stolen worth $5300.00 - PalmTalk (http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&sqi=2&ved=0CCgQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.palmtalk.org%2Fforum%2Findex.php%3Fshowtopi c%3D27886&ei=x-z8Ta_hFpP4sAOw2aDfBQ&usg=AFQjCNE5BDo5X1PLOmhp1GQIjrGxS2cAxw)

Hey Tony, what kind of medium do you sprout your seeds in? When do you move to the current pots and what is the soil?

Also, do you use the same setup for bananas seeds?

Thanks,

The cycads were germinated in a baggie with straight perlite. I am now using rookwool seed starter cubes, much easier. As soon as the seed germinate I pot them in 50/50 perlite and coco coir or perlite and peat.Yes you can sprout most any seed this way.
