So, I've never posted on here, but I keep up with most of the conversations regularly, reading through threads while I am at work.

My love for tropicals (mainly bananas) came after my wife and I took a trip to Jamaica last year at this time. Since then, I havent been able to get enough.

As some of you may know, Joplin, MO was hit with a deadly EF-5 tornado on May, 22. While my family and I were safe because we moved just 3 months earlier, my bananas which were all being overwintered in town did not make it.

I have ordered a couple of Basjoos from Ty Ty online and have yet to recieve them. While my hopes are high for these trees, ive been let down by companies on the old interweb before. I was curious if there might be anyone from this community who could part with a few pups fairly cheap to help me repopulate my collection. I am not picky at all, just name your price and I will let you know quickly if it is something I can swing right now or not.

Thank you,

Brett

Some real weird weather going on around the world Brett,

We have sunshine at the minute, this week rain and hail..

I am sorry you lost your nanas. I guess thats the problem with big leaf plants in wind, does'nt have to be too strong to snap them either.

Off topic but our weather for the last 2 months has been sunshine and summer heat then rain, hail, and winter temps, sunshine and summer heat then rain, hail, and winter temps, sunshine and summer heat then rain, hail, and winter temps, sunshine and summer heat then rain, hail, and winter temps, sunshine and summer heat then rain, hail, and winter temps, I think you get the point. Im sorry to hear about your banana plants. At least your family was safe from the tornado and that is much more important. Ty Ty seems to be widely known as a bad internet company. Sometimes they give people dead plants and other times they dont give people any plants at all. There are a few rare good reviews of them, but its really possible that those arent real people and that they wrote those reviews in themselves.

I got about half of my banana collection from various sellers on ebay and I have never been let down. A lot of people dont trust ebay, but I think its very reliable because all the sellers have feedback and even if you still get a problem (which is almost unheard of with people that have been on ebay for a long time and have good feedback) there is a good chance that you will get your money back (even if the seller doesnt respond because they are scams). The banana plants off ebay arent too expensive so its a good way to get some banana plants back! I wish I had some pups to share, but my bananas have no signs of a lot of pups yet.
