Sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm wondering if anyone has any idea what variety of bananas grow best, and are capable of producing fruit, in Zone 8-9. During the winter it rains a lot on the Oregon coast, and can be quite windy. The temperatures generally in the winter only get down into the 40s, although the past few years we've had plenty of days in the 30s, with some down to freezing. It's rare to get as low as the the 20s. The ground never freezes here.

In the summer it's sunny, with normal temps in the 60s and 70s. The past few years it's been really breezy during the summer. Might be cyclical though.

Anyone have any advice for me? Again, sorry if this has been asked before, or is found in another place on the sight. I couldn't find where it would be.Thanks all!:0517:
