Awesome sunfish,
Would'nt you think, in an age where preservation is paramount for our future generations that the water companies would make an exception for this particular garden of magnificence?
To raise the charges this high is blantant gold digging robbery.
The price of water goes up.
"Initially it was $15 a month. Now it's $1,500 a month," Joanne said.
SHOCKING!!!

The increase from $15 to $1500 per month occurred over a half century.
The $1500 per month is comparable to rates paid by commercial orchards in the same area.

Yes, water is expensive in this part of the country. My water bill (annualized) is $125 per month for my 1/2 acre, including the 2,000 5-gal pots of nursery stock. When I lived McKinleyville CA, we had essentially free water for our 40 acres and it cost $45 per year to replace the filters.

WOW, thats really beautiful! I hope they preserve it for many years to come. Its a rarity to see a lush tropical forest in dry California!
