Tropical fruit is lets say at least uncommon thing to find in our stores but with new tourist season aproaching things are changeing slowely but sure.
So I got this Passion fruits imported from Columbia. Any ideas about cultivar name or something?

It's a Passiflora edulis, perhaps a cultivar but hard to tell without a case of them. It's not ripe, and the taste is poor when ripened off the vine.

If it turns yellow when ripe it may be Passiflora edulis flavicarpa or a hybrid of

Anton, It looks like one we have growing.
WHEN RIPE: The skin is plain yellow. The fruit is large and full. The pulp is orange , The seeds are black .If the fruit is sun ripened it should sweet and have a lot of juice. If we have a lot of fruit we freeze the fruit whole till needed. Its my favrouite passion-fruit variety. They need lots of sun to grow well.
