It would seem that the mailman and Musa Basjoo have a lot in common. Nor, sleet, rain or snow will keep them away. We ahve had our warm days since the end of February, but about mid-April many of those have been replaced by cooler than normal days and a lot of rain. From March thru yesterday we have had a little over 20" of rain so far and more is expected in May and it seems into this summer.
The Basjoo's really do not seem to mind how cold it is cause they are growing quite quickly. The didn't come up until April 11 and even then it was just one at about an inch of growth.

The tallest one you see in the last picture is the one in the first picture. It is already around 4 feet tall, so that is pretty exciting. Can’t wait to see how tall they get this year. Last year I believe it got to 13-14 feet by 07 November when it was frosted. You can see that some of them are starting to actually puch out leaves.
