I have been trying to research to find a basic kit, but Carol's kit with PPM which seems to be a savior in tc is 99.00 does anyone know of a basic kit that my son could use to do his science project? Also a book? I found this book>>> Amazon.com: Plants from Test Tubes: An Introduction to Micropropagation (9780881923612): Lydiane Kyte, John Kleyn: Books (http://www.amazon.com/Plants-Test-Tubes-Introduction-Micropropagation/dp/0881923613/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I16T29Z1NXGXQA&colid=1BD4XIMJ7SGW2)

that seems to be the lowest cost and I read it was a good introductory book to tc. This is the kit that I found >>>

Plant Tissue Culture Kit (http://www.seekabrand.com/Tissue_Culture_Kit.html)

Any suggestions for plants that would be easy for this? We have banana's, sages, gingers, jasmine, european fan palm, trumpet vine, elephant ears, lotus, and a few others, or I could go to a nursery and purchase a plant for him to use or perhaps go by the botanical gardens and ask if we may obtain a few specimens. Any suggestions, books, websites, or possible kits would be greatly appreciated! I will be overseeing his project and helping him out (we share an interest in propigation!)

Thank you all in advance!
