Good purchase, Dean.

Have you tried your new fruit picker yet? Any luck?

Hi Rae,:03:

It's for a Persimmon tree that's getting to tall for a ladder. The fruit doesn't come into season until fall, so I'll try it then.

I bought an orange basket thingy like Dean, and a 10' (extendable to 30') aluminum pole with a net on the end that is used to skim leaves off swimming pools. I replaced the net with the basket, and used one of those metal bands to hold it in place. Worked better than any others I've seen.

Wow, you eat persimmons? Good for you, Dean. :drum:

Persimmons are great, but the store bought ones are often too ripe. I only like eating them when they are hard, in a light yellow-orange color.

I don't have any fruits to be picked, just being curious... :)

Thanks, Yug, for your creative solution to fruit picking. No doubt, I like your idea better than the coffee can approach shown in the video. ;)

:pinwheelnaner: Hello, Dean,

How is your Persimmon tree doing after the summer drought? Have you tried your newly acquired fruit picker yet? I hope it works well for picking persimmons. ;)

It was a terrible year for fruit. Nearly a 100% fruit drop the others were eaten by birds. We had to water the tree to keep it alive. Thanks for asking.
