Default Banana ID?

A friend of mine asked if I would ask you very experienced 'nannar folk if you could ID a banana
he is growing. It is next to a 6 ft fence (in the photos), and the leaves connect to the
main trunk about 10 ft up. Please take a look and let me know so I can let him know. Tks.

It is 'Dwarf Brazilian', known commonly in Hawaii as 'Dwarf Apple'.

Tks, I'll pass that along.

By the way, what characterstic about a banana most readily reveals its identity?

I appreciate the interest. Except for the most obvious ones, like the Siam Ruby, I don't know enough to know what to look for.
