Can anyone help me with this problem. My Goldfinger and my Pisang Raja (to a lesser extent) have leaves that are pulling away from the pseudostem.

I am note sure what the problem is at the moment but here is what the weather has been like. The last few weeks have been 60 to high 70's with some days of wind maybe up to 15mph. They have been in direct sunlight and watered as needed.

The pseudostem has been a little softer than usual but no rot. I am wondering if it felt that way because it was starting to pull apart.

On the bottam picture the leaf at the top of the picture (not the emerging leaf) also pulled away but I put it back. Thanks for any help.

Like Tony says, it looks normal for older leaves to get like that. I wish I had a picture to show you, but unless I'm taking a pic to illustrate a problem, I usually cut the fading/failing leaves off before I take the picture.

Hey thanks so much. I was just wondering because it had never done it and it was down to 3 leaves holding it together. The Pisang Raja has always done it though so I was not worried.

Thanks for the link Tony, I was looking for a thread for about an hour so I didn't ask a previously answered question. I guess I was using all the wrong key words.
