I have a Dwarf Cavendish, possibly Super Dwarf Cavendish that has two, possibly 2 and a half foot plants coming from the same corm. They haven't been transplanted for very long, so if I need to separate them it shouldn't be hard to do.
Should I let these two plants live on through the one corm, or split the two up into two different pots? I love the tropical look that bananas lend to a landscape and don't want to do anything that could harm them.
Thanks, Billy
Got pics??? :)
If you want to split them up, now's a good time to do it.
What sort of outcome do you want to wind up with, what sort of project are you aiming for?

Less risky to just leave them as is. They will do find if left together. If you divide them up, you could lose both. I'd wait to divide them when you have several pups and you know that the main plant (plants) will survive and follow the on-line tips for removing the pups. When freshly divided you need to remove the leaves and keep the pups dry and shaded. Expect them to sulk in their pots for awhile until they start to grow.

The plant is in a pretty big pot, so I'd rather leave them as is. I think they would look much better as a clump of bananas. If it's not going to hurt them, as far as their being able to absorb water and nutrients, I think I'll just keep them together.
Thanks for the replies, you all are the greatest!

If the larger corm is in a pot, I would remove all the pups from the main corm.
