Hi Skids, I'm living in Norfolk, UK, don't know which climate code you'd consider that to be?!
Are there many UK / cold climate members here?

I don't know about climate codes. But seeing you're in the UK, I'd imagine cold. ;)
Not that we can scoff here at the moment, particularly June like weather in the last few days. Last week it was nearly 30 degrees a few days in a row, last few days 15, rain and cold wind. That's life. :)

Hi Bananana
I live in Peterborough, just next door to Norfolk and my wife comes from Kings Lynn.
To answer your question there are a number of Brits who frequent this site and probably all of them grow Musa Velutina (including me).
There is a UK hardiness zones map in banana wiki or here is a link Plant Cold Hardiness Zone Map of the British Isles (http://www.trebrown.com/hrdzone.html)
