THEY already knows...... I've more request for any kind of pup I have in my collection of 'nanas than pups available.... people pushed as far as asking me to book the pups that my 'nanas have still to sprout out !!! :ha:

Anyway I'm very happy to share my pups with 'nanas maniacs like me.:nanadrink:

I'm glad to hear that your very willing to share and that your swamped with requests. The requests for pups that haven't even sproute yet, remind me of people who pay big bucks for puppies that aren't even born yet!!!. It's rather wierd :ha::08:

always depends where and who you are buying them from , last time I bought a basjoo couple years ago at HD. first they were $ 9-10 then end of the season oct they were $2 each . haven't seen them anywhere else. people buy them for $15-20 ??? OMG ripp off i have to admit way back in like 2007 I saw some 3 or 4 at a greenhouse that were $100 each !! couldn't believe my eyes.

Well I think the banana craze was just about starting back then Kacz. Four or five years ago, I don't remember seeing any bananas for sale anywhere in my area. It's only been in the last few years that I have seen any kind of banana for sale and usually they are the Truly Tiny Musa variety (aka patio bananas) I think they were for about 4.50 USD. But I really haven't seen any basjoos yet for sale in any of the nurserys. Which is wierd considering they seem to be splattered all over the internet lately and the Blood Bananas with their nice green and red leaves. :birthdaynana: I just have my Dwarf Musa, super-dwarf musa, my 2 Ensets and my dwarf Giant :) I try to put out in front of the house something different than normal for people to see as they drive by my house. But the prices are just outrageous I think on line.

Why thank you there Tony Sunfish. Looks like the little bugger :) I'm going to try planting it in the back yard this year (if I still can), it'll be in full sun, so it should do better than the morning sun it got last year.

I was so lucky to see them at a local nursery as 2-3 foot tall plants for 12 dollars (This was July 2010). I got the last 2. Now they are a little taller than me (just about 6 feet tall now). Still no pups, but it was trying to this past fall before it went inside.
They seem very expensive on the internet for such common banana plants.

They're 7-9$ each here for one gallon and 20$ for about a 5 footer.
