Hi Emily! I have a huge Joseph's Coat. It is always my first rose to bloom every year and one of my favorites. It is the thorniest rose I've ever seen, but the flowers are worth it. They start out yellow (tipped in red orange), then turn to orange then red. Mine is blooming right now and the bush is still covered in buds! I think you will LOVE it! I would consider it a climbing rose, also.

It is OLD! Probably about 20 years or more. I have a Lincoln, Chicago Peace, and one that I can't remember the name right now - it is a Salmon Pink color. I don't blame you for wanting to go back and get more.

I always think they do better in the ground if you have a place for them!

I use a three in one that I bought from Lowe's - it seems to work well for rose malady's. The manager at Lowe's recommended it to me three years ago, and I have been very happy with it. I will go get it to give you specifics.

Immunox Spectracide 3 in 1 Insect and disease control plus fertilizer. It's pretty reasonable too.

The Joseph's coat with even more opened! And to answer you Emily, yes I would consider it a fast grower. I saw one at a nursery yesterday and they also had it labeled as a fast grower! :)

At my previous house we had a Climbing Joseph's Coat and it bloomed non-stop. Some roses can bloom often, but CJC always had at least a few blooms on it. Pity though they aren't fragrant and aren't the best for cut flowers, but they sure make up for it in color.

All of my rose bushes are now blooming! These are the Joseph's Coat and Lincoln:

This is the one I forgot the name of and the color the camera picks up (more dark salmon color) is not quite the color that it is, but you can get an idea.

Thanks Sherry!

Here is a newly opening blossom on a new rose "tree" that I bought two weeks ago. I was pretty pitiful when I bought it, but it has about 8 new buds on it right now. I am anxious to see the bloom fully opened - the tag picture is a very soft pink.

I really prefer the 'wild rose' types, usually 5-10 petals and with 2 extra leaflets. Kinda like a large apple blossom.

All my rose bushes are blooming again, though only a couple of blossoms on each bush right now. I missed the bud and first opened stage while we were out of state:
