I woke this morning to the sound of wild birds singing in the cool morning air. I could see my prey on the horizon just at the edge of the jungle, and being downwind I knew it was unaware of my presence. Patiently I crept closer to the beast, machete in hand, as silent as humanly possible. When in striking range I waited for it to look the other way then sprung up and swung mightily with my huge machete leaving deep wounds that sprayed me with it's toxic blood, but I was determined to take this one down regardless of it's ominous size. With one final deadly blow it succumbed and I dragged it off into the grassy area for safe keeping away from the other dangerous beasts.

Nice bunch and the machete looks an US army one from the Vietnam
period. at least, it has the same grip, the blade is a bit wider on yours.

Ohhhh, nice catch Mitchel!!!! Well hunted, the damage on the prey seems minimal although fatal for it!

You probably need to let it soften up a bit though ;)

I can see that mid winter doldrums really has you living on the edge out in wild LA !:ha:
For public record I would describe what I was out doing yesterday as "Harvesting":ha:
(... and no I wont be posting any picutres!)

Well done.

Nice harvest! I still have 'Ice Cream' and 'Dwarf Brazilian' fruit hanging on the plants but they both fruited too late last year for them to fully develop before cold weather set it.

Love it!! I was just wondering if it's unadvisable to let the fruit ripen on the tree and take them as they turn yellow. Is the beast too wild to tame? Is it too dangerous? I as of yet still have no experience with this type of beast....not sure if I have the room to maintain them.
