This plant came from a friend a couple years ago and is now finally fruiting! I've always assumed it was a dwarf cavendish of some sort. What do you think? Fruiting height of pseudostem is about 4 feet.

I don't see anything that would make me think it isn't a dwarf Cavendish -- the height is right, the way the bracts roll up, etc. The only variety that would fruit around that height that isn't a dwarf Cavendish (that I can think of) is the dwarf ladyfinger that Logee's sells, and no one knows what cultivar that really is. But I'm no expert. I hope one of them will weigh in on your plant. Congrats on the fruit.
