Click to view the video (Rochester Democrat and Chronicle) (http://www.democratandchronicle.com/section/VideoNetwork?bctid=717412020001?bctid=717412020001) wish they got into detail with all the ingredients, but looking at it, it seems easy enough to try.

I lived in New Orleans around 1960 and Bananas Forster was the best dessert in the town. My dental school and that dessert are two of the best things that I remember about New Orleans. I had to buy the Brennan's Restaurant Cook Book when I came back to Coral Gables. But now you can Google for the information or go here (http://www.brennansneworleans.com/r_bananasfoster.html): Bananas Foster Recipe | Brennan's Restaurant (http://www.brennansneworleans.com/r_bananasfoster.html)
I still cut the bananas like they do in Brennan's, but I use Ae Ae bananas

Hi guys

Just joined your bananas forum and i can see you guys are pretty well set up and well ahead of me so i feel if i don't take it steady i could get run over.
I am trying to get a patch of dragon fruit going and i was told Alex Morales was my friend. He emails me to say he gave up dragon fruit last year .
Despite my dissapointment. Is there any one who cares about dragon fruit and will help.
I live in Australia and i want to buy dragon fruit cuttings to get started.
Cheers Cecil.

Im learning to cook and thats almost how we do it. but we use chopped walnuts and vanilla too. =D
This is the recipee I used for making Banana Foster.

1/4 cup butter
2/3 cup dark brown sugar
3 1/2 tbsp rum
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp ground cinammon
3 bananas - split then slice
1/4 cup coarse chopped walnuts
1 pint of vanilla ice cream - the one with bits of vanilla bean is really good!
Flambe skillet

Put the butter in the skillet and put it on a burner on medium heat. when the butter melts then stir in the brown sugar, cinammon, and vanilla. then add the rum but be careful so it doesnt ignite. Add the bananas and walnuts. cook about 1 or 2 minutes until the bananas start to turn brown. then i use a long match to ignite it. If your really careful you can tip the skillet. then just pour it over the ice cream! :)
