Today I asked a local person if I could dig up a few bamboo plants from their grove. The bamboo plants were huge but I dug up a few baby plants. I was wondering if anyone could identify this bamboo plant. I have im going to keep it in a pot and set the pot in a hole for winter. Thanks

Cameron

Cameron, and you can photograph adult plants? It would be easier to define.

It was in another city unfortunately. I thought it was just golden bamboo. The only thing I remember were the culms werent that thick and the plants had a weeping form to them and really dark green leaves. They were at least 12-13 feet

Here mine Phyllostachys heteroclada, but it nevertheless differs from yours, in a picture, on a number of signs. At you Phyllostachys edulis or Moso. A good, beautiful version, it also very Cold Hardy.
