I don't know why, but it seems like once you have a mat established you really have a good run of shooting during the month of October which I suppose is a good thing because it assures you fruit in the winter.
By the way does anyone have any clue how long it takes Kandrian to fruit? I planted last July and I haven't even gotten a hint of shooting The trees have to be 16-18 feet tall.

Nick,
The Kandarian is a giant like my Saba. Literature says 16 months, more or less, to pop flower. That's from first planting. Add 4 more to ripen.
Hurricane winds almost made the big Saba with fruit hanging crash into the pool enclosure. That's why I only grow them in pots now for folks who want pups.
Did you have good yields this year after last winter?

I went out to the farm and voila some of my Kandrians have started to flower. I planted them 7/25/09, so it has taken roughly 15 months.
As far as decent yields go, I actually had great yields in early July. I think universally the first crop is kind of spotty. In the second crop I am seeing 12 hand bunches.
