Is it OK to put chook manure around:
avacardo , persimmon,olive, fig and mango trees? The Manure is not new Its "processed - looks like black soil. :0519:

It should be placed away from the trunk, under the "drip lne" of the tree canopy. There should also be 4 inches of 1-inch diameter mulch around these trees from the trunk out past the drip line.

If you have not been feeding your trees, then an application of manure now (mid-Fall) could trigger them into a growth spurt or premature bloom -- just in time to be damaged by cool winter weather in zone 10. A better time for cured manure is in the spring.
