I want to take a pup from my clump of basjoos. The clump consists of the 1 main plant in the middle and 4 large pups. I was just wandering if I took the largest pup would it effect the others hardiness? I think I may try to keep the pup dormant in my crawlspace or just pot it up and try to keep it alive all winter....not to sure yet. Thanks for any advise...I will try to add a pic later.

I just took some pups off today to overwinter indoors, they were pups of last years pups that I removed at this time of year .They came back bigger come spring so with my experience it made no difference at all!!!!

I'm hoping the main plant will flower next year so I just wanted to double check before I chopped a pup off. The pup is pretty big it is about 5½ feet pstem and the leaf that just pushed out makes it around 9 feet tall...
