I had to take a quick call with my mom...

Yeah, I never chat in the chatroom...it's just not my thing, and frankly I've heard a lot of trouble has started there in the past. :( I just like chatting in threads mostly.

Hi Gang! How are y'all? I'm playing catch up - trying to post to a few threads and read a bunch.

When I travel I don't take my computer. I can view on my phone but I'm not very good at thumb typing so I normally don't post.

It's going to be one of those nights though I can tell. I am wired up!

11-17-2010, 08:14 PM
Yes Janan, it really is great to hear from you. :waving: I missed ya!

I haven't been around much myself these days with a lot going on but with the cold weather approaching I should have more time. My camera also died on me, but don't worry I'll be showing some new pics real soon on my amazing new camera. ;)

Great that you stopped in to say 'hi'. So you're wired up, are ya? I am too, but I have to get up early to meet the boyfriend.

I am just loading some pics right now but I'm around...

Oh, Oh.....Tell us about your new camera! What brand is it, zoom, mega pixels, etc......

Hi Cameron! I only started 4 of the mountain laurel. I wanted to make sure they were still viable. ~J

It's a Sony and it has 10 mega pixels, and I'll let you know more details tomorrow but better yet, I'll show ya a shot! :08:

My last camera took a nice pic too...a Canon, and it was only a 7 mega pixels. I'm looking forward to sharing some shots again real soon...

Yeah I was in the middle of taking some shots with my old camera and it said the battery was low so I put in some new ones and it hasn't turned on since!

I sure got a lot of use out of it though so I really can't complain. It just sucked that it died on me like that. :(

Has anyone else had their digital camera die, out of the blue?

Jananas Bananas
11-17-2010, 09:17 PM
No, I have never had one just quit like that. I have had a tv do that to me though. Can't wait to see the new shots Sherry!

Oh, I wanted to tell all of you that on my last trip to Lowe's they had tons of new "Christmas" cactus out in different sizes and colors. But all of it was the Thanksgiving cactus with points on the stems. I told the guy there and he just shrugged and said well they aren't going to change all these signs. I should have taken a shot of it with my cell phone, but didn't. I will the next time I go in though. ~J

The Hollyberry Lady
11-17-2010, 09:36 PM
Too funny about the signs, Janan! :ha:

Did you happen to notice if they had any white ones? The pink ones are very common but white isn't so much, so I was just curious...

Yes, my new pics will be even better quality than my last ones so I'll be looking forward to showing some very soon...

Do you believe that Christmas is around the corner? I usually start decorating at the end of November or even as late as December 1st. I'm just having a low key Christmas with my mom and I this year because I'm going to be a bit busy over December. Not sure what my New Year's plans will be either.

Time to revive my Christmas thread soon...and my Winter thread!

No snow yet, but real soon. :(

All my plants are thriving in my windows and I even have seeds sprouting, like Cameron does. Gonna turn on my Halide soon...

http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo193/hollyberrylady08/2nd%20album/447.jpg

I might try a couple banana plants under it this winter...like my Siam Ruby. It should be interesting to see how it does. :08:

They did have a couple of the white ones, and a very soft pale yellow - they did not carry either of those colors last year. I will probably get a couple of the small ones of both those colors. They had a ton of the hot pink and salmon colors though. The two that I have now are the salmon color. Here is a shot of the teeny tiny buds.

http://www.bananas.org/gallery/watermark.php?file=38565&size=1 (http://www.bananas.org/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=38565)

I told you they were teeny tiny! HA! HA! :ha: My "Thanksgiving" cactus MIGHT be blooming by Christmas if I am lucky!

I know Christmas is right around the corner!!! ~J

The Hollyberry Lady
11-17-2010, 10:06 PM
Oh you're so lucky Janan, to have all those great colors to choose from. I'm so envious and wish I could get another white one. :(

Thanks for the shot and good luck with it blooming for you soon. They love and thrive in an east window if you happen to have one and they enjoy a bit of fertilizer from time to time as well. They also appreciate a shower once in awhile to keep them shiny and dust-free.

: )

Jananas Bananas
11-17-2010, 10:18 PM
Mine look like they need a shower don't they? That is actually sediment from the water from the last shower! We have literally tons of limestone here in Central Texas and any of the water wells are pumped through the limestone layers. All of the water is filtered of course, but you just can't get rid of it all.

My house actually faces east, so I am lucky to have many east facing windows. I have a bay window in the first bedroom that I winter a lot of my smaller plants and have my seed starting area. I have several grow lights there and a few fluorescent lights in that room as well.

I think there were a couple of other colors of the cactus too, but I can't remember what they were at the moment. It will be one of those sit straight up in the bed at 3 AM and say oh yeah that was the other two colors! Do you have Lowe's or Home Depot in your town? ~J

The Hollyberry Lady
11-17-2010, 10:49 PM
Yes, we have Home Depot and there's also one other place I can check tomorrow too. I would die to have that yellow one you referred to, Janan. I like unusual colored ones and am on the hunt for some this year if I can get one.

If you see any loose leaves in the pots, they will root into plants and are just going to die anyway. Wouldn't it be cool to create a pot of Thanksgiving cacti using cuttings of assorted colors? It would be a rainbow of different colored blooms each year! That would be so stunning.

I'd like to do a pot of white and pink cuttings together...that'd be real pretty. If you end up getting that yellow one Janan, be sure to post some shots...

: )

The Hollyberry Lady
11-17-2010, 10:56 PM
About the showering...

No I wasn't referring to yours Janan, or trying to hint! :ha: I've been showering mine for 4 years and it loves it, so I just thought I'd pass it on. I hate those white water spots and I get them on my orchid leaves sometimes.

Speaking of my orchid...

I recently cut off the old flower stalk at night and when I removed it, I noticed it had new buds on it but I didn't see them in the dimly lit room. I was pretty upset and disappointed that I didn't look more closely but...

this morning I was watering and fertilizing it and noticed that it's sending up another flower stalk so it might bloom again for me soon. I want a yellow orchid next. The one I have now is over four years old.

I have a couple of orchids. My favorite is one I got in a trade off GardenWeb. It is so shiny green it looks fake. It has never bloomed for me, but it has grown a lot though - it is the Vanilla orchid. I have two of the miniatures too. My chickens took a liking to them and have chewed on all the tips of the leaves. :(

What is your very favorite inside plant and why? I think I have read that your favorite over all is holly. ~J

Yes, my favorite overall plant is "Blue Princess" Hollyberry, but for indoors that's a tough one...

I might have to say Geraniums! :goteam:

I love how easy and reliable they are, and how they add beautiful color to my windows all year round. :D

I also enjoy my succulents too though. :08:

How about you Janan, and others ???

I have a tri-colored succulent from Texas that Zac 'ShearMe', sent me. I'll show a shot of it soon and send you a piece of it...

I find my 'favorite' plant can change every few months but I have always loved geraniums and Hollies, and think I will for life. :08:

Yup ok, right back at you Janan...what's your favorite indoor plant?

: )

Jananas Bananas
11-18-2010, 12:11 AM
OK I am very fickle when it comes to my plants - but at this very moment it is a variegated African violet. I have the name written down around here somewhere. Mine is young and hasn't bloomed for me yet, but it is to die for!!!!
The foliage has white mottling around the edge with a hint of pink. My very favorite plants are anything variegated, so I always lean in that direction. I think I have taken a recent shot of it.

Here is with and without flash. I like it even without the blooms....BUT the blooms are rich purple y blue!!!!

Did you know that just one leaf off that AV plant will root into a whole entire plant of it's own? Yup, it's true and I've done it many times. :D

That is one special beauty you have there. If you love variegated plants then you will love the tri-colored succulent I've got...it's white, green, and pink!

I also have variegated lily of the valley that I got from Bob. ;)

So when's Thanksgiving for you guys, anyway? This coming weekend? Are you making turkey?

Our Thanksgiving is always the fourth Thursday of November, so this year it is the 25th. We will have ham and turkey and all the fixins! I will try to take pictures for your supper thread. It will be a pretty meal!

You can take one AV leaf and cut slits in the main central vein and baby plantlets will sprout from each slit as long as it is touching the growing medium underneath it. It is pretty amazing to see. Have you ever tried it that way? I think you can do a rubber tree that way also. I have never tried it on a rubber tree though.

The Hollyberry Lady
11-18-2010, 12:45 AM
No, I've never tried it that way but think it sounds pretty cool! :08:

Great, you'll post shots of your Thanksgiving dinner. It'll be delicious, no doubt. ;)

I have to get busy myself. I really need to start the pre Thanksgiving house cleaning, but what I really want to do is make a Lowe's run to check out the mark down tables! HA! HA! :ha: Just maybe, I can do both! The Depot just doesn't have the sales that Lowe's does. It's supposed to freeze tonight, so they will have a bunch of new stuff out. :woohoonaner: ~J

The Hollyberry Lady

When I'm over at the mall later, I'm going to check out Home Depot and see if they have any cool colored Thanksgiving cacti. I'll let you know later if I got anything special to share.

So yeah, I always do a huge Fall cleaning in late November, just before I decorate my place for Christmas. I also do another in Spring. I go nuts and even wash down the walls! I'm kind of a neat & clean freak...ok not kind of, I am totally! :ha: I cannot stand dirt and disorder. :(

If they still have that pale yellow I will get one of those so I can send you a stem in your package. I'll take pictures of it so you can make sure you want it. One of the colors that they have and I didn't mention was red, but I am still missing a color and it is driving me crazy. But I will know soon. ~J

The Hollyberry Lady

A true red would definitley be gorgeous. :08:

I know what you mean because there's so many unique shades out there that once you see the one you want and buy it, you look for it next time too.

I once saw this pink one that was the softest, palest pink ever, but I didn't buy it and it was gone when I went back. I never saw that shade again but always hold out hope that I might again one day. It was breathtaking.

Thanks so much for offering to take some shots and share the yellow one with me Janan. That would be most wonderful. ;)

Looking forward to seeing your pics later...

Sherry what kind of restrictions do you have on plants coming into Canada, if any? I know you and Bob have exchanged many plants with each other, but I have only swapped seeds with Canadians. Is there anything you need to check off on the customs paper work? I can't have any citrus sent into Texas from another state and I have to check on out of country. I had some stuff shipped in from Thailand before, but they had phytosanitary paperwork attached so they came in OK. ~J

The Hollyberry Lady
11-18-2010, 10:28 AM
I haven't just exchanged plants with Bob, I've sent plans to many gardeners in the States. ;)

No restrictions on my end of things but if I have to reveal the contents of my box that I send to the US, I always just write "Garden Ornamentals"...

which isn't exactly a lie! :ha:

I've never once had a problem except when I mailed to Howard...although he did eventually get the box it was very late getting to him. However this was my fault in not sending it with a proper name and not registering it with the post office. http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo193/hollyberrylady08/2nd%20album/emo2.gif

I just dropped it in the mailbox because I'd done it before many times with success.

I know better for next time though and I will register all packages with the P.O. and get a tracking #.

Hi Sherry and everyone. I have great news, nearly all of the 130 red yucca seeds are sprouting. I wanted to post a picture of one and of some more passion vines that are coming up.

That's just awesome, Cam! :08: Thanks for sharing. Great about your passiflora vines.

I was shopping earlier today and I saw an even better camera than the one I just recently bought...so I got it too! I will return the other one tomorrow because they said I had 30 days to do so and it's been less than a week.

This new one I got is a Sony with 4x optical zoom, 12.1 mega pixels, and plus it came with a lithium rechargeable battery & recharger....I knew you would ask, Janan! :ha:

This is my very first and crappy night time-ish shot I just took a few minutes ago of what I'll be pulling off the vines tonight for my dinner...

http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo193/hollyberrylady08/2nd%20album/DSC00003.jpg

I really need to get to know this new camera before I start taking shots but just to give you an idea. ;)

So what's everyone's plans this weekend. I might stay home and take some pictures! :ha:

Oh well pardon me, Jack...I must remember that you are in a different time zone than me so...happy late night to you and hopefully you'll be hitting the hay shortly. http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo193/hollyberrylady08/2nd%20album/emo1.gif

What exactly does "bzzz" mean ??? Do tell...

So anyway, guess I'll check out some of the threads...

Sounds like a really, really nice one! Yep, I would have asked! :ha:

Got to Lowe's and bought a yellow Thanksgiving cactus. It's a pretty thing. I bought a combo one too of white and salmon colors. A little lighter salmon than the ones I already have I think. I will have to wait and see when it blooms because I can't find any pictures I took of it last year when it was blooming. Here's a shot of the combo and one of the "Christmas" cactus sign behind it. And they wonder why we all call plants the wrong names!

Is is possible to graft x-mas cactus with thanks giving cactus along with multipul colors. I think that it would be so cool, with blooms from thanksgiving to x-mas with several different colors. :)

Looks like I need to hit lows over the weekend! ;)

Beautiful Janan! ;)

I didn't get over to check for the cacti yet...too busy buying cameras! :ha:

I took this video earlier on my new camera of Henry, before I put him to bed, but it's kind of dark and it's the first time I've done it before on this camera...although I do have a digital camcorder too.

You can hear me saying 'night night, Henry' to him but he's not very tired. You can see him playing with one of the plastic birds in his cage. Sorry for the darkness though...I'll show better videos later but I was just practicing...

Oh my Gosh, what world are you living in? Girls play video games instead of going out on discos, parties,...
Sheesh, Holly, wouldn't wanna live in Canada. :ha:

Not even spin the bottle or slumber party? Ah...

The Hollyberry Lady

What world am I living in Jack? Do you even have a girlfriend?!

Sometimes my friends and I just like to chill at home but we were planning to go out tonight instead so we thought we'd just hang last night and listen to tunes. We played some of Tony Hawk's pro skater on my playstation.

Spin the bottle? That's kind of lame isn't it? :ha:

So how's everyone's weekend going? I'm staying logged on but going to shower and take a few shots with the new camera, now that it's daytime. Be back with some pics soon...

What world am I living in Jack? Do you even have a girlfriend?!
What would you make think that I don't? :ha: And I even have both types of "girlfriend" meaning, maybe even the third type... which you don't know that exists. ;)

OK, now to your small friend. It almost looked like as if he missed some female parrot companion. He was dragging the doll to procreate, not give it a good night kiss. Also, nice hearing you! Please rename the vid to "Winter in Canada" and it will be a popular video within several months.

About Henry...

That little plastic bird is his baby, or so he thinks! :ha: He feeds it and protects it and calls it "Tee Tee". Sometimes he'll even peck me if I try to touch it but he's usually pretty good.

I'll get some footage soon of his endless chatter. This morning he's been saying "you be a nice bird...no biting...ouch"!!! I'll let you guys hear for yourself soon because he talks all day long.

Ok, gotta go take some pics and check out my camera more...

And about Henry... ur next post, I don't think you get that bird. It's not his baby, it's his damn female companion. You could have bought him some lady parrot, there would be one extremely horny thing less in your flat. ;)

I do get my little Henry...you're wrong!

He totally acts like that thing is his baby and I have books about budgies and how they behave and it confirms it even more. He thinks that I am his companion and that's why he tries to impress me with his amazing vocabulary and extensive repertoire of sentences and phrases. :ha:

He also treats my mom like she's part of the flock too and tries to impress her also. She sings to him often and he sits perched on her finger totally mesmerized and captivated! We just adore him. He's a little fella with a huge personality.

I knew you'd have an excuse for being logged on all the time but it doesn't wash with me,

Too bad Sally-anne couldn't type for you while you sleep, eh? She could tell us all about your experiences with plastic chums and paper-cut-out pals! :ha:

Oh I think we all know who the starved one is...it's rather obvious! :D Maybe you better hit the grocery store, Jack...

Gotta go grab a bite to eat and call my girlfriends to find out what the plan is for tonight. Think we're gonna go out for a drink or two and catch a live band somewhere. ;)

Hope everyone has a terrific Sunday. I'm just hanging out at home today. Had a late night last night with the girls but I still got up early.

I gotta bring in some of my garden gating today...one of the last of the garden chores before the white stuff flies. I also have to give all my hollies one last watering and feeding to keep them happy over winter until Spring when I'll hit them again.

So Jack, how's your Sunday going? I'm surprised you're even around with those many girlfriends you brag about having! http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo193/hollyberrylady08/2nd%20album/emo1.gif
I don't brag about anything and there's this line between very real possibility depending on my will and then there's reality. But, I'm ill is sufficient.

The Hollyberry Lady
11-21-2010, 05:59 PM
I was just making a crack, but sorry to hear you are really ill, Jack. :( That sucks.

If I keep chatting to Henry, he can't resist and has to talk too, so that's how I persuade him. Even when he's in a bad mood, it usually works to take his mind off whatever he's brooding over. :)

Here he was just a few minutes ago...

YouTube - MOV00092 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5glUlrga2I)

He starts the video with quick "shoosh" (which means 'be quiet') and then he's kissing his baby 'tee tee' and making lots of little kissy sounds...then he blurts out "Hi Henry"!!! ;)

After that you'll hear him say a couple quick "hi hi" followed by 'oh little baby'. After this he comes right up to my face and starts looking at the camera and pecking it a little bit.

Then he does a quick whiny sound to let me know he knows it's not like my other camera and he doesn't like it as much...followed by "oh hi little pea pod" and ending with two kiss sounds before the video finishes.

What a little character he is. I wish I could have got more for you guys to hear tonight but he's upset about my new camera and won't talk as much. I'll get more soon...

That is a gorgeous deep rich red geranium. Is it one that is scented? I have some fuchsia colored ones, and mine are not.

Cool, about Harry Potter, Janan. ;)

Yes, that geranium was grown from seed and it's over a year old now. It does have a scent but not as strong as some. When you're close to it though, you can easily whiff the nice leaves. It'll bloom all winter for me.

I have another one growing in my my window but it will be a surprise color for me...also grown from
seed. :08:

Nice, Cam! ;)

Be sure to show us the blooms when they open. Did you see that gorgeous yellow one Janan
has?!

I am after a certain friend of mine to pick me up a couple in his area if he comes across the ones I want. We'll see...

Thanks Sherry! Yes the yellow one is beautiful, I've never seen them in that color. I may look for one tomorrow. I will keep you posted on the flower pictures. I was wondering how you have yours so full and beautiful. Mine is so wimpy looking and its about 2 years old, maybe a little older.

Thanks Cam! ;)

I just kept turning mine over the years to make sure all the sides got light. Plus I kept it well fed. You're right though, it is quite full and dense.

Hi insomniac gang! :waving: It's that time of night for me to start yapping on the computer! HA! HA! :ha:

I think your cactus looks good Cameron! Your blooms are a different color salmon that I have I think. Oh and Sherry thanks for the compliments on my threads! I have to show you guys a couple of shots of a cactus and tell me what you think. I will load them here in just a few minutes.

Blake that helicopter thingy is something else!!!! When I first glanced I thought it was for a person and thought no way but since it is "unmanned" I think that would be fun. When we were kids my Dad had RC airplanes and they were a lot of fun for us.

(Have to go load the shots for you)

OK Here goes! This is a pure white one with the hot pink stamens. No color to the blossom at all:

And here is the one in the combination pot that I got - I thought it was white until today. What color do you see?????

I am so excited I can't hardly stand it!!!!:woohoonaner:

That's the one I have, like yours, totally white with pink stamens...

I saw a light pink one like your other one, and there's many different shadings of pink...yours is a real beauty though. I can see why you're so excited.

What will you do with all of them Janan...put them in one big pot, or keep them all separate?

Your going to have lots of blooms for awhile. :D Be sure to label them all so that when they're not blooming, you'll know which they are! :ha:

Thanks for the nice shots of your beautiful cacti. :08:

The Hollyberry Lady

I've been known to apply Ultra-Bloom 15-30-15 Miracle Grow to my Thanksgiving cactus every couple months or so, Cam. I didn't really have a schedule though...just whenever I thought of it.

Ok it might be time to spill the beans...

I wasn't going to say anything, but the truth is my beautiful 4 year old white Thanksgiving cactus was stolen recently!!!

and it's no mystery who took it either...

I just can't discuss it too much in posts. It remained in our locked laundry room, accessible only to tenants, for over four years and it was loved by everyone who lives here.

I am truly devastated by it, and have come to find out that it's been a tenant who's been stealing my plants right straight along...even back last summer when some of you may remember I had a number of them robbed from me. :(

Sad that it's gone, but I have cuttings that I had taken a couple months back so it's not lost forever, thankfully. :)

Unfortunately, I am all done with potted plants in and outside of the building and will now only be able to enjoy them inside my place, under lock and key. The rest of my plants will grow directly in the garden, but no more pots for thieves, will be anywhere in sight. :D

Sorry to put a damper on things but I thought I'd let you guys know that my beautiful cactus was stolen on me!

: (

At least I have that lovely picture though, to always remember it...

and cuttings too. ;)

Thanks Cameron! I only had the salmon color until a couple of days ago.

Sherry I thought is was lavender. :o That's why I wanted another opinion though before I said what I thought I saw. If you click on the picture then click again you can see a really close up version of it. On the very tips and a little on the petals it has the purple color. It does also have the hot pink stamen. I don't know if that makes a difference in the coloring or not. The blossoms don't fan out like the others either, more bulbous. But if everyone else sees pink, then that is what it is. Purple is one of my favorite flower colors, so I got excited when I thought I saw it. I did try to do some research on the colors and the yellow is a rare color. I had no idea as I can't really imagine Lowe's getting them if they are rare, so they must not be anymore! :ha:

Sorry, wasn't ignoring the camera question, I got excited about the cactus! :) The camera I shot these pictures with is a Fuji S700, I also have an Olympus Camedia, a HP, a Sony, and a Ricoh. The Fuji is the newest then they get progressively older as listed. I try to get a new one every few years trying to keep up with technology (which is hard to do). ~J

Oh Sherry NOOOOOOO! I was replying (and snacking) and just read your last post! You can't file or something on them? Can you get your super to go into their apartment to look or anything? Or do they steal them and then sell them???? Low down stinking thieves!!!!!

The Hollyberry Lady

Yes Janan, now that you mentioned it...it definitely has a purple/mauve hue to the
blooms!!! :goteam: I checked it out up-close as you suggested.

Very cool and you're so lucky to have them! If I could get just a couple leaves from each of them, this would be all that's needed to root into more plants. I love succulent and cacti because they root so easily. That yellow one is totally unique and special around here. ;)

Gonna check another place out tomorrow and see if they have anything, but our selection is very poor this year, I'm finding. :(

I haven't checked a couple greenhouse nurseries yet though either, so we'll see...

It's so easy Janan....you won't believe. Most succulent cuttings root while in the mail!

: o

I just put the little pieces into ziplock baggies with a bit of dry soil in the bags...not at all moist or wet, or the pieces could rot.

Then I just make sure they can't be crushed or squished, and that's it. It's the simplest thing. If they ask you to write down what's inside your box, just write "Garden Ornamentals"...which is not a lie.

Don't worry about it at all, just send it off priority post and I will do the same with your stuff and we'll both likely get the cuttings with roots already growing. I've had it happen many times.

Thanks Janan, for setting my up with some cuttings. I really appreciate it...especially after having mine recently stolen from me. :(

Do you like this succulent, Janan...

That string of pearls is really cute. I do not have that one. I think the bottom one is one type of hens and chicks. I do have several types of that one.

I have five different colors of dragon fruit, but only know the name of one "American Beauty". I just did repot my night blooming cactus today (Cereus (Epiphyllum oxypetalum), and found two little broken off sections that I stuck in some spagnum. They both had very fine hair type roots on them if you need any of that. This is going to be FUN! :)

What have you always wanted but never have been able to get? Maybe I can find something for you. ~J

I'll definitely send you some cuttings for the string of pearl and my burrito too...which I'll show you tomorrow. I bet you'll love it.

Cool about all the dragon fruits you've got! Your camera too sounds awesome. I got an extended warranty on my new one that even covers drops and falls! I really love it. It's a Sony Cyber Shot and it's pink! :) I just got it registered tonight.

Well, I guess I would have to think about it too. I'm pretty rotten - if I want it bad enough I usually find a way to get it. :ha: I go in cycles too. I was on a Bromeliad kick for a while (I have a bunch of those too), bananas (of course or I wouldn't be here), cannas (which got me on the bananas), hibiscus, succulents, tropicals, you name it, I have probably have it, had it, or killed it! :ha: ~J

Yeah, I should try and get some sleep too, but I am not sleepy yet either. I should probably take some Tylenol PM or something. I'll be up until that kicks in and I haven't taken anything yet.

I like the rain. It is relaxing to me. But thunderstorms and wind, I am up pacing the floor. ~J

The Hollyberry Lady

I gotta get a drink of water...

We had some wind and thunder earlier but it died down. It's been raining here mostly all day long! My gardens are sure getting a deep watering though so this is good. :D

Tomorrow I have to re-pot a couple plants into something bigger and shower some stuff as well. I still want to sow some more seeds yet and get things ready to grow over the winter inside.

Yeah, I could use a Tylenol myself and some hot tea, instead of water. If only my bf was here to make it for me. :ha:

So I'm expecting to wake up to snow anyday now, and will take a shot when I do. Just hope it won't be until December...

Good morning everyone. Sherry that's terrible about your thanksgiving cactus. I would be furious about that. I've had plants stolen before and I wouldnt know until a few days later. I'm going to see if Lowe's has any. Janan I was looking for a dragon fruit plant yesterday at a nursery. They had cuttings but they werent for sale and only had the larger ones for sale which were $59.99. I'm going to look in the grocery store and see if they sell some so I can grow them from seed.

The Hollyberry Lady

Good morning Cameron, and everyone! :waving:

Yes, I'm very upset about my cactus Cam, and the person has been criminally charged actually, so they are not getting away with it. :D

It had grown and matured to a plant that would have been 60 bucks if it was in a nursery! The laundry room looks so bare without it there, after over four years of enjoying it in there. :(

Sad that some people have a strong sense of entitlement and think they have the right to covet other people's goods. http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo193/hollyberrylady08/2nd%20album/emo2.gif

All I know is I sure miss my plant and I want it back! I doubt I will ever see it again but I guess I just hold out hope that I might. You never know.

In the meantime, I'm on the hunt for a beauty to 'replace' my other one, somewhat.

I'm glad that they are being charged criminally. That was one of the most beautiful cactus plants ive seen. I went to Lowes and got a small one for $3.98. It has magenta blooms and it has red blooms in the same pot so I guess its 2 plants lol.

The Hollyberry Lady
11-23-2010, 09:18 AM
Gosh, thanks Cam! ;) So nice of you to compliment my plant like that. It really was special and I cared for it well. I just hope whoever it was given to, will look after it like I did and keep it happy.

: (

I am grateful that I do have cuttings from it. Don't know why, but one day I just was struck with this feeling that I should take some cuttings. Now I know why, for sure. I would be extra sad if I had nothing from it at all, so this is a positive thing. :)

All the tenants (except for one rotten thief) enjoyed and loved my plants so much. After my cactus was robbed, a little over a week ago, I went and collected all of my potted plants, including the ones in the sunporch, and brought them all inside my apartment. I knew they would be stolen next, so I protected against it. :D

I've been keeping a low profile for now, but soon the tenants will ask me where all the plants have gone...and I will be telling them exactly what happened.

Very cool that you will try to grow one from seed, Cam. That should be interesting.

Yes it is sad that one bad apple spoils the whole barrel but I don't think this person will be residing here much longer, now that I've taken legal action. :)

When they are gone, I will once again put out the plants that have been here for many years and appreciated by decent people. ;)

Looking forward to seeing your picture soon, Cam. Good luck getting ready for the big day tomorrow. I guess I'm gonna go for a spin now. This is the last of the nice weather and I want to enjoy it while it lasts.

No, actually I had to go to the birth certificate office to have her name changed to Sherry (she kept complaining about the Sally-anne). They argued that what kind of a name would be Sherry and asked me whether I was joking. I was not and they renamed her. Now it's much better. Yes, oddly the burrito plant in the hanging basket has a truly bluish hue, identical to the shading in the shot I showed, but the other plant is more green. I cannot explain this but if you want I will send some cuttings from the blue kind, Janan.

I think the blooms are yellow. Which probably contrasts the blue. I hope mine blooms soon. I love the burros tail plant, its gorgeous. I like any type of sedum because of their hardiness. Its so sad about your plant, but you will have another one just as beautiful or even more so than the previous one. You did a great job with the first one.

Thanks so much, Cam! You're so nice and you have a way of making me feel better about it all. ;)

Yes, I am thinking that my new one will be just as gorgeous and maybe even moreso. Now I think I definitely might go pick it up tonight. It's pricey though but I cannot resist it since my other one is gone. :(

This one will be staying in my apartment, of course! :)

Ok, I'll stay signed on but I might not be back for awhile...

I'll bring the receipt for my new plant to court, and the judge may order that the thief reimburse me for it! :goteam:

You're welcome Sherry. Good luck on your search and please post a picture of your newest one. I think thats a good idea to have it in your apartment. There was a thief around here in Plano that would dig up people's palm trees and plants and load them on his truck. I dont know if he ever got caught but you never know. I still have a few container plants outside but they stay outside all year. We are suppose to have our first real freeze Thanksgiving night so all my plants are indoors. Anyways good luck and I hope you find a really pretty one =)

Although I'll take a better shot tomorrow in the daylight, just look at what I picked up tonight...

http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo193/hollyberrylady08/2nd%20album/DSC00180.jpg

I'm in love with the pink centers!!! I kind of like it that it's slightly different than my last one but still as full and nice. Plus it's in a hanging basket! :D

What's even better is that I stopped at Wal-mart on the way home too and I saw they had about 20 little Thanksgiving cacti that had snow white blooms! They just got them in today! They were far cheaper than my new one but they were a lot smaller.

Unbelievably though, I didn't get one! I am so happy & satisfied with my new beauty that I am just going keep growing my cuttings from my other true white plant and be happy with that. I am so glad that someone finally got some in though. :)

So what do you guys think of my new plant? Of course you're all welcome to cuttings...

Thanks, Cam! ;)

I'm just tickled that I got another one that's not too much smaller than my last one & certainly just as full. :D

It really was expensive though...maybe because it was in a hanging basket, but I've set the receipt aside to save and bring to court. ;)

This was definitely what I needed to cheer me up about what happened. It worked....
I am cheered! :ha:

Now I can watch a cactus bloom in my own living room! :08:

You know what would be pretty, is a pure white one mixed with your pure red one, Cam. Like a candy cane! :)

Between all of us, we've sure got some beauties. What do you think too Janan...do you like my new plant? :03:

I wonder if other places will be getting more in soon too. You guys have got me so excited about these darn cacti that I now want every color out there! :ha:

I'm here (kinda late I know). Had the lovely chore of cleaning out the refrigerator to make room for the Thanksgiving food.

Sherry that is beautiful. Is the the soft pink you have been looking for? It sure is thick! There must be 20 or 30 plants stuffed down in there!:woohoonaner:

The Hollyberry Lady
11-24-2010, 01:11 AM
It's close but the one I saw before had solid baby pink blooms and I loved the pastel shading.

I fell in love with this new one also because the coloring was kind of unique with the very pinkish centers. The blooms look like silk and they're kind of shiny too.

Oh Janan, I'm so glad I have another one again. I was depressed with no cactus blooms. Yes, it sure is a full plant but my other one was too and it was only one plant that branched out and grew new shoots everywhere.

I'm just glad I don't have to wait many years for my cuttings to mature...I have an already mature plant again. :goteam:

I'm kind of tired now and I have to get up early, so unfortunately I must catch some Zzzzzz's now, Janan. I missed ya though, but glad you're getting things done to prepare for Thanksgiving.

That picture of your dinner in the dinner thread looked yummy, by the way! ;)

Sweet dreams...when and if you do finally get to sleep! :ha:

Good morning gang! :waving:

I noticed how shiny they were in your picture. I was in another part of town yesterday and stopped in at a couple of the big box stores. There were several other color selections of the cactus. I want a dark purple one, do they come in that color? I don't recall seeing it in the past.

Oh, Cameron I forgot to mention - you should be able to find dragon fruit at an Asian market in the produce section. I have been able to find the pink skinned fruit with the white flesh. The seeds are really easy to sprout, but mine didn't get beyond two or three weeks old so the babies are very tender.

Well, I will be popping in and out today - got lots to do before tomorrow! Later! ~J

Hey, Guys! :03:

Hope everyone's having a good day...

Yes Janan, the blooms are shiny, unlike others I've seen. Not sure why they are shimmery but I sure like it. :D

Dunno if they come in purple but I bet there is one out there somewhere. I've seen some pretty cool shades in the past. Good luck finding it and if you do...

:eek::eek::eek:

That would just be way too cool!

It's sunny and gorgeous here today...I've been up since 6:30 am! I hear we are getting snow on Friday or Saturday! http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo193/hollyberrylady08/2nd%20album/emo2.gif

I'm dreading it but have my mittens, scarf, and leather boots ready by the door. I hate it that I won't be able to bike for a few months. This really sucks! :(

Good luck getting ready for Thanksgiving tomorrow. I'm so jealous that you'lll all be gobbling turkey without me! :ha:

Yes, we are roasting a turkey. (And will be having a ham also) with all the fixin's. Fixin's will include dressing, gravy, corn pudding, green bean casserole, pea salad, blueberry muffins, frosted fresh whole cranberries, pumpkin and cream cheese pie. I'm sure there will be more but that's all I can think of just off the top of my head.

Don't be jealous Sherry, you and your Mom come on down to Texas for Thanksgiving with us. This is a formal invite! :) You can stop and see Zac and Cameron on the way back. Yeah, sounds like a plan! :woohoonaner: We will for sure have enough food!!!! ~J

That is just so nice Janan and if I had more notice and could work it out, I'd be there in a heartbeat! No doubt your feast will be fabulous! It sounds delicious! :goteam: I am so jealous...but in a good kind of way! :ha:

Yes, Greg will be helping me. He is a fantastic cook and a great helper. The girls will do anything I ask them too also, but I will probably have everything ready by the time the kids get here. I'll try to remember to take pictures.

Hey Sherry, I was at Lowes yesterday and they had a Christmas Cactus that had really dark Fucia colored blooms! Is that what you would consider a "Thanksgiving Cactus"

You got to admit that Mr. Jack had a pretty funny one there about the "snow"!

Hi Sherry, thanks!. I had a great Thanksgiving. I tried something different with the fruit salad, by using fresh fruit lol. My favorite was the dressing my mom and sister made, but out of the desserts my sister's cheesecake was the best. I made raspberry sauce to go with it.

Yeah, your cactus is really pretty. I like it because it's not like the usual kinds you see everyday. Very different. Wonder what Janan will think...

I don't know what I'm up to today yet because we're supposed to get flurries all day long and they're supposed to start soon! Yuck!

Yes it was good, this is the second Thanksgiving where she has made homemade cheesecake and its the best i have had compared to the boxed ones LOL. We had our first freeze here, although the only plant that is wilting is the one hibiscus that I couldnt bring inside. (Dont tell Cheryl lol) I'm helping a friend put up her christmas tree tomorrow, but other than that nothing else LOL

Nope, we won't tell Cheryl about your Hibiscus plant, Cameron! :ha:

Well, they lied again, but this time I'm happy about it! :D It did not snow yet and I'm hoping it

The Hollyberry Lady

LoL Cam. I think Cheryl's pretty nice and she would understand. :ha:

I don't know when I'll put up a tree...or if I even will!

Some years I don't, if I'll be away. This year we're having Christmas at my mom's and she's putting up a tree so I might not.

I have a large beautiful reindeer that's lights up and is meant for indoors, so I will likely just light him up on a table, in replacement of the tree! :ha:

Then again...

I've been known to change my mind! :goteam:

I gotta get something for dinner soon, but not sure what...

Are you having leftovers, Cam? Wish I was! :ha:

Yeah Cam, I think everyone takes a big nap after Thanksgiving, Easter, & Christmas dinner! :ha:

So how are you guys doing tonight? It's gonna be a late one for me...I can just tell. Had apple pie and ice cream at my mom's earlier tonight...

http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo193/hollyberrylady08/2nd%20album/DSC00266.jpg

So now I'm wired on sugar!

I finally got the right Christmas lights today and my trellis is lit up once again...

http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo193/hollyberrylady08/2nd%20album/DSC00261.jpg

I keep it lit all year long but I added some extra lights because it's Christmas soon and I wanted it to be really shiny and sparkly. White lights are my favorite and I think they look classy and elegant. I love a house done with nothing but white lights. :)

So here's my mom's small breed (not dwarf) Holland Lop bunny 'Buttons'...

http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo193/hollyberrylady08/2nd%20album/DSC00291.jpg

Just look at those big thumper feet and that cute little black cotton tail...

http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo193/hollyberrylady08/2nd%20album/DSC00301.jpg

Henry wasn't with us tonight because it was kind of late and he was going 'nite nite' but Buttons is nocturnal and was just coming to life later in the evening. Here's his play area and a box my mom cuts holes for him to run in and out of with tissue paper in it. He just loves it...

http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo193/hollyberrylady08/2nd%20album/DSC00276.jpg

Here he is eating rice crispies from my mom's hand. He's nuts about them...

http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo193/hollyberrylady08/2nd%20album/DSC00281.jpg

He's spoiled rotten and gets fresh organic fruits & veggies daily...plus his hay and pellets...not to mention assorted varieties of flavorful nuts too!

Kind of a dark shot but it shows him up on his hind legs getting a treat from my mom. You can see he's made a mess of everything and has pieces of torn tissue paper everywhere! :ha:

Beautiful pictures! I just love your Mom's bunny. He is a cutie pie! And the lamp you got for her is beautiful. I have one room in my house that I have decorated in Victorian type things. Maybe I can take some shots for you.

Yes, I am still up. Had a busy day today dragging out the Christmas decorations. Got the tree up and decorated and a few things outside done. It's not all finished yet, but I got a good start on it. I will post some pictures for you somewhere. As soon as I can load them and find the appropriate thread. HA! HA!

Oh yes, I'd love to see your pics Janan. Thanks. ;) So many threads...who knows where to post anything anymore! :ha:

I bought some really good toffee today, made with Brazil nuts, but I'm sugared up enough from the pie so I'll try it tomorrow.

Great you got up your tree, Janan. I saw these adorable little 3 feet tall ones today that were real. Even though I said I wouldn't put up a tree, I want one!

I haven't been plant shopping since before Thanksgiving. I was too busy getting ready for that.

I have some tiny trees that I put up all over the house. I love decorating for Christmas. I love the lights. I try to find decorations for all the holidays with lights. It just makes everything so cheerful. Here's a tiny tree that I have on one of my plant tables that has the little mini white lights and of all things Hollyberries!!! :woohoonaner:

The other thing with lights is a large Mason jar with potpourri in it. The lights heat up the potpourri and makes everything smell nicely. I will get a close up of it tomorrow and put it into the gift ideas thread. They are pretty easy to make. ~J

Not sure what's going on tomorrow since I can tell I'll be up half the night. I'm just sad that my biking days are coming to an end. It's just getting too bloodey cold out now. :(

I love the hollyberries Janan...needless to say. I saw at Home Depot recently, that they had little holly trees with berries on them. They were only small trees and they only had a few berries but they were cute and ornamental in decorative pots. Knowing me, I'll have one before long. :ha:

I'm wondering if tomorrow will be the day we wake up to snow coverage. My beautyberry and hollyberry shrubs will be beautiful with a snowy background. An excuse to take more pics,
of course! :ha:

All my little trees are fake ones but they are cute. I have bought the small real ones though I haven't bought any this year yet. I have a rosemary in a side garden that is a monster. They always have those trimmed and decorated as little Christmas trees here. I don't know if I have seen any little holly trees. Those sound really cute!. Oh, I meant to mention to you, I did see a wreath made of nothing but different succulents. I examined it closely and they just stuck the stems down into florist moss that was wired into a wreath shape. Very cute but very expensive! I don't know if they would root and look nice for a long time or shrivel up and die. But that could be something that could be done in all sorts of shapes and things.

I love your trellis too. Is it an inside or outside decoration, or both? ~J

The Hollyberry Lady
11-28-2010, 02:33 AM
At one time Janan, that trellis stood against a wall in my garden and grew cantaloupe melons on it!!!

In the pic in this thread though, it is indoors, and it stands tall, directly behind my couch, to add to the sort of garden theme of my living room...

http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo193/hollyberrylady08/2nd%20album/200.jpg

My tree is fake too Janan, so don't worry. ;) I just love it when I see real ones though and I always want one. I can imagine those little ones I saw, plastered with white lights everywhere. Gorgeous! :D

Tomorrow night I'll get a shot of this gorgeous tree in someone's living room!

I'm not being a voyeur :ha: because they have it in the window for all to see with the drapes drawn wide open. It's simply gorgeous!

Plus too, I'll take some pics of these three houses near me that pollute their homes with Christmas lights...to the degree that would put Chevy Chase's place in 'Christmas Vacation' to shame!!! :ha:

I'll get some live footage so you can hear the music they play too. It's pretty wild. :08:

Gonna revive my Christmas thread...

I have a room that I call my fantasy room. It has all sorts of fairies, dragons, wizards, and my Harry Potter collection in it. It has my little white lights in it too. If I could use them as regular lights in the house I would! HA! HA! :ha: Is that a stained glass fountain on the coffee table? I really like the curly variegated plant in the bird bath! Looks like you love butterflies like I love fairies. :)

I guess I'd better shut this off. It will take me another hour to wind down enough to sleep. but I'd better get started or I never will. ~J

Sorry Janan, I was posting in my Christmas thread from last year...

Nope, it's not a fountain, it's a mosaic glass pillar candle holder...but I do have a three level fountain too that looks like plant pots pouring into each other. Henry tries to take a bath in it though so I've turned it off for now. :ha:

I'm so glad you like the curly variegated dwarf spider plant in the bird bath. It was sent to me from someone in the US and it just so happens I have a few babies growing off of it right now...that can be shared! ;) It is truly unique and special and it stays fairly small. It's very curly and reminds me of a wig once it gets going.

G'night, Janan! :waving: Hope you sleep well. Chat tomorrow. I might be up awhile yet...

Maybe you'll like this succulent, Janan and Cam? It turns bright fluorescent pink in spring & summer with a tinge of grey on the leaves as well. It's a real beauty, but it's not so vibrantly colored this time of year...

I am dreading the day!

What are you up to today, Jack? No salsa dancing? Guess Sally-anne is busy? http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo193/hollyberrylady08/2nd%20album/emo1.gif

I was thinking about what to make for lunch today and might just see what my mom's having and try to mooch some. :ha:

So, are you at least recovered from being sick? Sure hope so. I hate being sick, and haven't been really ill for a number of years now, thankfully. :D

I have so many things to do also to get ready for Christmas, because my mom says that family might be coming down for the holidays. Oh joy, Oh bliss! (sarcasm) :ha:

Well Jack, you once offered your services to listen to my troubles & woes, so you can feel free to cry on my shoulder as well. :) Life isn't always a bowl of cherries, but the bad times do eventually pass.

Took a shot just now, of the awesome Orinoco banana plant that Zac sent me last year. Gonna post it in the 'what is this' thread, but I'll show it here when I get it loaded...

I don't really know, but I doubt it will set seed or anything like that. :) So it's the only alternative. Leaf propagation is one of the most difficult ones. It is slow and painstaking, but in the case of this plant well worth the time. :08:

You can also hear Henry chatting throughout the whole video but you might need headphones to hear it, at first he's saying "hi Nana" (my mom) and then "ouch" followed by "naughty naughty beak' and 'no biting, no biting' and then "ok", then "shoosh" along with 'Henry' and then something about "naughty little bird". Hi Janan! :waving:

So great you're here. I was posting in my new 'camera talk' thread...

Glad you saw the video and I can't wait to see your stuff too...it all sounds so lovely. I have a fiber optic little house with colored lights all around it...even the stairs leading up to the house light up! It's so cute. When I get it out, along with my reindeer, I'll show ya. ;)

Yup, I got Henry when he was only a few months old as a little fledgling...he's a little over four years old now. He really is super intelligent and my mom calls him an "astute little professor"...no doubt he'll be saying this in no time too! :ha:

He repeats things I didn't even know he heard and he makes me laugh so hard sometimes with the things he blurts out. His voice is loud too, not quiet when you're in the room with him. Tonight he was saying "you're an adorable little bird boy" over and over. It was just hilarious.

He said his first word when he was between 6-8 months old but he was very very shy at first and needed a lot of encouraging. He was embarrassed that he wasn't saying things right and would often hide his head inside this little cave-like bowl I had for him. He would only chat if his head was inside the bowl and then he'd look out fast to see if I heard him or if I was watching. My mom and I totally encouraged him and excitedly repeated everything he said, which made him talk even more.

Now, I can't shut him up! :ha:

He's not one bit shy anymore and talks from morning until night.

Because he's so smart though, he gets bored easily and wants me to sit and teach him new words and phrases. He perches on my finger and presses his beak against my lips while I talk...totally captivated and mesmerized. He could sit for a half hour just listening to me and taking it all in. He's one quick learner and I've heard him say new words within 24 hours of learning them for the first time! He's an expert mimic and nothing stumps him.

I am so impressed! My Grandmother used to have budgies, but they never spoke. She was told they had to have their tongues split before they would talk. She would never do that as it was cruel. I don't know if that was true or not, but that is what people believed in those days. :(

I am very tired tonight and my eyes are not staying open, so I guess I'd better get ready for bed while I am in this "mode". Maybe I can get a Loooong nights sleep tonight. So, I hate to cut our conversation off so early, but I think I am going to hit the hay! Good night all! ~J :03:

Nope, I totally understand Janan...when you're tired, you're tired. Hope you sleep well and we'll chat again soon, no doubt! ;)

Amazing what they thought in those days! Budgies become what the owner makes them become. You truly get out what you put in with them. Henry is spoiled and I pay him tons of attention. This is why he's such a chatter box.

Your grandmother's budgies were more than capable of speaking...but she didn't know it so she didn't teach them or encourage them, or else they would have.

It is true though that budgies that are kept singly as opposed to being kept with other birds, will be better talkers and will try to impress their human companion more with talk instead of chirping and bird sounds.

Very cool indeed.

G'night Janan. :03:

Morning! (though it is nearly afternoon) :ha:

Went plant window shopping yesterday, may be why I was a pooped pup last night! I picked up some succulent leaves off the floor and brought them home and put them in some starting medium. (always ask first! They have always said yes to me - they are just going to sweep them up and throw them away, but they can't say you are stealing if you ask) We shall see how they do. A couple were pretty wrinkled up from drying out.

I really like that little skinny one. It looks like a teensy dragon fruit. I forgot the name - it was native to Rio I think. I'll write it down when I go back. There is a Jade and Kalanchoe and a couple of little oval leaves too.

Hi Sherry and Janan.

Nice cuttings. I need to take a picture of my Candelabra tree. Its huge. I just hate the needles on it, but its my most hardy plant. I took a cutting of it last year for my sister to have her own and its 2 feet tall now. I wanted to take a pic of the newest Thanksgiving cactus. I cant tell if its peach or yellow but it has pink mixed in it.

Hi Cameron! That is a really pretty combination on your cactus! I like it a lot. I found a couple of different colors yesterday that I will probably go back and get - maybe this afternoon. One is a VARIEGATED leaf with they are saying red bloom (it only had the buds no open blooms). The other was get this Sherry, a purple (not dark though) with a pink tint to it. Kind of like Magenta but a little more purple. Not the dark hot pink color - totally different. Hope it is still there when I go back. I really have to talk myself into buying things, not just plants, but anything - so sometimes I miss things that I want because of this. :(

Sherry or Cameron, why not start a Succulent and Cactus thread. We can post all of our pictures there! Oh Sherry, I do love the sticks of fire. I do not have any of that. Does it change color in the sun? :) ~J

Thanks Janan. Next year I'm going to get one that has white blooms on it. I think starting a cacti and succulent thread would be great. I didnt know there was a variegated thanksgiving cactus, wow i bet that is beautiful!

Janan...get your butt to the store and pick up those cacti! :ha: They sound awesome.

Cam, I know of a store that got in the pure white onea for $2.99 each! I can get you one no problem. They're in four inch pots and not expensive at all. Then you won't have to wait until next year.

I'll stay logged on but gotta go call my bf for a bit...

JaNan,

All of those will make it. I have been growing cactus and succulents for a good while and all those are in fine shape!

Good job for asking the clerks! They probably don't think twice about it!

Well Cam, I just might get it for you anyways! ;)

They're only small and would be easy to send to you...plus it would be an excuse to get one for me too! :ha:

I'll let ya know...

Here's my Jade I took a shot of tonight...

It started out as a few insignificant small pieces sent from Oklahoma...but look at it now!

I love succulents and sedums and find they are as easy as pie to grow. I've got them all over my
apartment! :D

I like adding them to already existing pots to make them look more appealing and attractive, and I especially like brightly colored and cheerful ones.

That bright pink one you have Janan, is outstanding! :goteam:

So what's everyone up to tonight? I think I'm just gonna hang out and take more pictures tonight...

I can definitely throw in some Jade cuttings with your other stuff too, Cam! Someone shared theirs with me and I like to pass it on. ;)

Taking some shots of some Christmas decorations right now, for my Christmas thread...

I think we really are getting snow in a couple days!

Wish I could just snap my fingers and say...
