I got 3 of the above for my birthday, they have grown nearly a foot in the last month and are now nearly 2 foot tall.
I have them in a pot indoors in a peat free compost.
They have each grown a new leaf and are looking pretty healthy apart from having a lower leaf damaged in transport.
Does anyone know what the requirements of these plants are.??
Do I feed them during the winter and if so what and as they are being over wintered in the house I assume that I keep them moist throughout the winter.
I have them in my Kitchen next to an east facing window.
I will post a picture of them after sending this just to make sure that these are what the grower said they are :ha:

I don't keep mine in active growth through winter as they're just too big; personally I wouldn't feed now, I'd start resting them a bit.

is this the same plant as Ensete Tandarra Red?? I have one and I must admit that it looks exactly like Ensete Maurelli to me, but I do love it! Its a quick grower and really can handle a lot of neglect! I plan on planting it in the ground next spring so it can really take off. They are beautiful plants!
I wouldnt feed them during the winter indoors or encourage too much growth at all. The less indoor growth, the less problems in my book! I plan on soaking my Tandarra Red and then letting it dry out before watering it again, so maybe a soaking once every week? And I wont fertilize it until spring when it goes back out for the year
Good lucK!
