About the banana plant -
It is a fruiting hybrid, not a Musa species.
It is listed in the Bananas.org Wiki (http://www.bananas.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Allpages).
It is a young plant in a 5-gallon pot, the pot is about 1 foot tall.
The pseudostem height is about 14 inches and the leaves extend above that about another 2 feet.
The wind was blowing during the picture so you can see the underside of the top left leaf.
The first person to correctly guess the name of this banana cultivar pictured below wins a free banana plant of their choice (including shipping) from a list that includes that particular plant and other varieties I have available to give away at the time.
