When I water my potted musa basjoo. Lots of 2 inch long skinny pink worms come up for air. Do I want those in the pot or not?

you dont want worms in a pot but you do in the ground. In a pot worms will not have enough room to move around in dirt and will sever the root system from congestion.

That's what I thought. They seem to really dislike soapy water - so I'm using that.

My hubby dug three pups off my musa basjoo this Spring. They were too close to an inground cow tank that is a pond. None had roots yet. I potted them up and kept watering them every day. Then I set them in water. All are alive and I guess they rooted. One is about 3 ft tall I took it out of water and it is doing great. I gave one away. Are these water suckers that have no roots? Now that Banana the mother plant has 4 more bananas Yikes!

If they're earthworms, they are harmless to you. Just grab them and toss 'em somewhere else.

I had some Drain-o water I took out of a customers sink. I dumped it on the side of her house where nothing was growing. Man....... I tell you what, earthworms came flying to the surface as if they had jet packs on ! Lol
