should i cover my dc bananas this week the temp at night this week is going to be in the upper 40 and low50 . i want the bananas to grow as much has they can thanks for any info

Are you able to harvest down in zone 7?

greenhouse when it gets cold i move my greenhouse over the banana plant and i heat it. i got 89 last month off another dc it can be done.

Cool deal man. My DC is just now throwing a bud =[ Not that it matters I would not be able to harvest anyways.

Always nice to see some nanners hanging.

Is in a container? I wouldn't be too concerned with low morning temperatures since it gets warm during the day. It will make it take longer to do its thing, yes, but if you are going to put it in a greenhouse it might be too early yet. I guess it depends on how warm it's there during the day.

I've got a bunch of 'em all over the place but none of them have bloomed this year yet and probably won't.

no it is in the ground its been in lower 70s in the day and at night in the lower 50s what i am trying to do keep the bananas growing fast before real cold air moves in.

In my experience, 50's and even 40 should be okay. Don't let it get below 40 though.
