After a full day of planting (mostly bromeiliads and Clivias) with my family my wife made us a treat. She told the girls to go get a banana leaf and they ran to it.

After cleaning the leaf off we cut the leaf in sections. Next we put Dover sole, olive oil and seasoned with Ono seasoning.

Next we folded the leaves and closed them up. I used strips of the stem for closing them.

Next my wife poached/simmered them in a blend of coconut milk, vegetable broth, ginger, garlic and lemon grass.http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l192/YeloZ06/DSCN1045.jpg
The presentation!

After dinner we went outside and roasted marshmallows with the girls.

Awesome. Thanks for sharing that. I have that exact patio furniture set! Are those gingers to the right? Mine finally have little buds on them. Congrats on a beautiful family! Your girls are so beautiful. You must have felt like you were in Hawaii already last night.

Wow, thanks for making my mouth water, I can't wait to try something like this!

I'm also impressed with your great quality of night time shots with the flash, they're perfectly lit! Very nice.

Thanks. The table came from Bali. I just landed in Chicago for business. I will post some pictures when I return back to Santa Barbara.

I'm back from Chicago. Here is the table. The table and chairs are teak and are very heavy.

Here is another table in our kitchen. This table was built in 1840 in France.
