I have so many bananas and alocasias this season that I really don't want to keep them in pots over the winter for space reasons. Looking for storage suggestions, I have Thai black, basjoo, Kru, zebrina for bananas. I have Diamond head, Borneo giant, Pink China, for alocasia. I bought two trays this season (144) plus all of my bananas from last year not to mention Plumeria, bougainvillea, and bamboo. Would love to hear what others do if they don't have the space to store them in pots.

This one's required reading for all us cold weather growers, well worth reading the entire thread:

Bob,
Thanks for the link, it's helpful. All of my bananas are in containers from one gallon up to 20 gallons. I guess I'll remove them from the containers and store the soil. I purchased some enriched soil this season by the yard so I'll reuse it once I add some manure next season. I guess I'll store the bananas in rubbermaid containers until next spring. Thanks.
Michael
