Congrats! All of my bananas decided to go on strike this year apparently except for my California Gold. Wait and see, though...one of them will end up popping a bud in October or something. Hate it when that happens.

I am glad I took a photo this morning. The eye of Tropical Storm Hermin just passed over us and bent the pstem over at a 45 deg angle.

I was going to cut the Orinoco to the ground after the tropical storm bent it over and partially uprooted it. A few days passed before I had time to cut it down and it started showing hands of fruit. Yesterday I decided to prop it back up straight and see what happens. A good number of roots were torn and exposed, so it will be interesting to observe if nothing else.

A fourth hand opened today, bringing the total to 35 female fingers. If this bunch gets much larger I am going to have to figure out a way to get it through the winter.
