Does anyone know if cedar mulch kills Basjoo plants?

Hi im from Chillicothe too! Im not sure about the cedar mulch i use cypress mulch and have had no problems. Why would cedar mulch kill a plant?

I've used it on Ice Cream, Orinoco, Raja Puri, Bordelon, and numerous EE's and haven't had any problems....

I get free woodchips and they come from every tree locally grown, and i never have issues... They break down so fast in the summer.

Yep...tree services drop several tons a year in our driveway (saves them the "dump fee")....keep building the "Forrest Floor"...

Thank you everyone. I guess I just didnt put as much water to the plants as needed. I am so happy to know I can still buy the cedar mulch because it is very cheap and I buy it by the truck load. They say it is very hard to kill the plants but I have so far killed 3. I better go back to banana school 101.
