This is a plant I gave to a friend about 4 years ago that they have been growing in a container, indoors in Colorado, since. I got a bunch of free corms from a local guy back then, but he didn't know what any of them were. Now that it's fruited, I can tell it is 'Raja Puri'. It has 18 good fruits across 3 hands.

I have been wondering if fruiting can be achieved in a pot inside. Now I know for sure. I am guessing it also depends on which type and the quality of care. Looks good.

It usually takes longer, but is otherwise rather easy if you have the right variety. When I grew all of my plants in Colorado indoors, I had 6 different bananas fruit inside in containers. For a plant that normally takes about 1 year to fruit in the ground, indoors in a container can take 2-4 years. Since indoor conditions are generally warm enough, and putting in a big container is easy, the most speed-limiting factor is the amount of light. More light is always better, less light will slow the plants down significantly, though they may get just as large in the end.

will it still fruit if it is topped? Can a plant get established enough to fruit if its dwarfed to ceiling height and grown indoors if it is normally a much taller plant (something like monzana)?

I think I am going to tell my cousin about that. He seemed interested about bananas when he came out to visit. He lives in Indiana and it gets super cold there. If he just grew it inside he wouldn't have to move it inside for the winter.

Nice plants of raja puri there. The plant here grown is quite a small one comparing the other plant of their type and require less space but i have a doubt when it will grow after some time than the indoor space will be very less.
