Hi all I bought a RARE Thai Variegated YELLOW/GREEN Banana plant on Ebay . The guy sent the plant. I tracked it. It did get to the post office here in Fresno, but the plant was never shipped to me. I called the post office. They said it went to the recovery center in Georgia. The seller finally got back with me and said he would send me another plant. I never received any thing. Yesterday he emaild me and told me to make a claim with ebay. I did. Ebay got back with me and basically told me I was not getting any thing. I cannot beleve that ! The plant was not cheap. Im lost now on what to do. I have never been in this situation.I can kinda see were the seller is on this, but I think he may have put the wrong address on the box and thats why it did not get to me. im not sure. What should I do about feedback for this guy. I never had to leave a negative. My ebay feedback is clean all the way.

When you track the package doesn't it show the destination address ? Did you pay with pay pal ?

I think you shoulds get back to the seller and tell him your entire situation like how ebay wasnt going to give you anything. Then tell him that you dont want to give negative feedback, but has no choice because you never received your plant. Im not sure whose fault this whole thing was (it wasnt yours though), but you should still get your plant even if it was sent somewhere else or pretty much lost.

As far as I know, if you sent the payment , ebay platform doesn't allow the seller to place a negative feedback (and it makes sense after all) , so don't worry about your feedback score.
Check on the carrier's website if the delivery address is included, otherwise call their call-center and ask for it since the MUST have that info .
If you payed by paypal you can ask your money back but it would be unfair if the selle has sent you the plant TWICE and if he can prove it , there is more than a chance that he will keep the money .
The point is to know if the seller has sent you thre plant to the right address so he will hold noresponsability and you or more probably, the seller can open a claim against the carrier.
If the carrier will refund the seller , then he can just send you back your money .

I know the seller did not try and send another one. As far as ebay they just said I was out of luck. The seller will not respond to me now. I tried

If you can prove it was addressed wrong (the post office may be able to tell you how it was addressed-if you ask in person), then you may be able to get something out of paypal or ebay.
If it was lost by fault of USPS then the seller would have to make a claim- but would only be able to do so if they bothered to insure the package.

Sounds like the seller messed up the address. I think the seller will get the package back, but there might be cases where no one gets the package? Ive never been in that situation before. I think the tracking number is enough proof that the package was not addressed properly.
Good luck!

It's entirely possible that the plant doesn't get sent back to the sender, whenever we ship overseas we have two options if it's undeliverable:
1. Return to sender (charges may apply)
2. Treat as abandoned
Very likely that with a plant the seller would choose "Treat as Abandoned"- because otherwise he'd have to pay return shipping charges for a dead plant.
Unless it's an expensive item we usually choose "treat as abandoned"
Like it's already been said- since it was probably misaddressed (by the seller) you can probably get Paypal to go to bat for you. . .

That's super unfortunate! Sounds like it put you through a lot of hassle for nothing, too. I am glad to hear that you are getting refunded though.....cause that's not fair if you get stuck paying with nothing received (and doing nothing wrong).
