You could root it with rooting powder or not; then by putting it in dirt (just like planting it) and putting a clear bag around the pot and plant. :^)

I have never heard of bananas in water rooting....
I would worry about rot. Maybe with some oxygen in the water..
I rooted a pup this year with ZERO roots and very little corm...directly in ground/ full sun.
Good luck

Ok, I might try it... The gel2root thread sparked my question.

Hi! I am new to this forum and growing bananas in general and I was wondering if someone can help me. I have a total of 5 Nam Wah pup and I tried to separate them from the mother plant in this attempt it went horrible wrong :{ I was able to separate one that still had roots but 2 of them broke off and have no roots or corm. I was wondering is there a way to root the ones that broke off so I don't lose those plants?( rooting hormone maybe? )... Thanks in advance :2738:

If there is a piece of corm on the pup it may root no hormone needed
