Hi everybody,

just by wondering the streets of Skiathos town in Greece I passed a beautiful garden and found beautiful nanners growing in this garden.
So I walked in the other day and talked with the owner and he didn't know the variety he's growing, but allowed me to take some pics.
But I need help to ID this plant, because I could get a pup from it, so I'd like to know which variety it is.
It's about 4 m/13 ft high

It'll be great to grow this nanner, because I have my Ice Cream and my Itinerans Gigantea growing on the same island!

Does nobody have any idea?

Looks like some Pisang Awak (Namwah) cultivar, but perhaps not the exact same clone that is common in the USA (which is what many of the references on this site are to).

Your banana looks very much like mine which is said to be a subvariety
of Pisang Awak.

Here is a photo showing how it looks like:

It doesn't look like my Orinoco.

Thanks to all. I'll try and get a pup soon. This banana seems to produce quite regulary here on the island which should be in zone 9b.
