Now I know that my timezone doesn't necessarily match with other peoples' around the world - but why do people log into the chat and then go on holiday, or to the moon???? If you are going to sleep - log off please! Is this too much to ask? I keep logging in because I think there is someone there - but no there isn't! And I note that they are always people who have never posted on any threads that I have seen. Grrr! OK - rant over! :ha:

Yeah, I have gone in the chatroom to find unresponsive people as well. It is a bit frustrating. I like to keep the sounds turned up loud enough on my settings so that when someone else comes in, I am aware of it (or when they respond). If anyone has any questions on how to customize your chatroom settings, I'd be more than happy to help!

Yeah, chatrooms have always been pretty strange [that's my experience]. When you leave the post zone, it's like a whole new universe in chat. The chatroom here is cool [compared to GF or PL] but I've logged in and people ran, lol [prolly due to my hyperactive mouth :ha::D]! [God, I know Bryan's going to jump that one! :ha:] But yeah, people should show a little more coutesy. I've even messed up before, been to bizzed, and accidentally ignored people who logged into chat [sorry].

No sweat! :) Threads like this are important [imo] since they usually inspire people to think about what they're doing [in this case, in chat].

Oh, another thing to note is that sometimes, due to some random glitch or something, there is a remnant listing that erroneously tells you someone is in the chatroom (although they have actually left hours before you entered). Before entering the chatroom, I check in the forums to see if it says anyone is in there. If it says there is not, and upon signing in, someone IS in there (or if the number the forums stated don't equal the list in the chatroom), I refresh the page and then the person disappears.
Is this possibly what is happening to you some of the time, Carol? I would try refreshing to see if the person remains in the list or if they disappear. If they disappear, they weren't actually in there when you came in. If they remain, then they're just slacking :ha:

Thanks for the "refresh page" idea, Bryan. :D I had no idea the chatroom-listing was glitch-prone so I might have made some bad conclusions myself.

I was in there the other night with a couple other members and everything seemed fine for us. Maybe it's working OK now.
