I'm about to mail out a large IC pup, there's no way I'm going to be able to fit it will all the leaves. Should I just cut them off? What's the best way to pack and ship a pup once it's over 2 feet?

I knew there had to be a post somewhere.... we should really have a section just for useful posts like that- it could include ones like separating a pup, preparing for winter, etc.

I like bending the leaves so they can absorb something on the far side. I don't like cutting them off unless the plant isn't using them any more. The bent leave help stabilize the plant in the center of the box without adding filler. Triangle boxes are the best for transport. :^) If you have to tape the rootball to the box like harvey that only helps :^)

Yeah I'm probably going to bend what I can and trim the rest- BTW the Basjoo looks great. IC is smaller but has a pup of it's own.

I've got lots of those triangle boxes at work, I'll check which offers the best shipping time ups or USPS, since we ship every day. I'll make something that will work maybe 2 boxes together. Or I'll look for a tube.
